"Angela is the best! She usually works in garden but I got lucky enough to catch her at the paint department. Not only was she excited to help me but she was just the absolute sweetest to talk to while waiting for the paint to be made. It’s rare you go somewhere and someone isn’t acting like they HAVE to be there. Talking with Angela made me smile for the day and that deserves to be recognized!"

"The folks at Nine Mile Road store didn't have my desired item in stock, but found one for me at another nearby store. Great service and appreciated!"

"I entered the store at a 8pm on the 8th of November to test the magnetism on a magnet strip I purchased online. I entered the store with both it, and my cell phone (a note 20 which is important due to the size). I was met with an employee behind the counter, locking eyes before he immediately started examining my hands. I approached him, since I needed help finding the washers and figured it would be easier to just ask straight away. He continued to examine my hands through the entire exchange, even prompting me to comment what I was holding, to which he didn't reply or cease his investigation. He told me where I could find the washers, which I found was the wrong isle (probably because he was too busy trying to figure out if I stole), which made me ask another employee for help. He too continued to examine the items in my hands, prompting me to once again explain to him what was in my hands. He didn't seem to mind, but once we reached the area with the washers, I placed my phone in my pocket. A moment or two passed as he started to show me where the loose washers were instead of the bagged ones, causing me to express my appreciation for finding what I needed to buy. When I said this, he quickly responded with telling me to not forget to purchase what I put in my pocket. I questioned him, and he mentioned it again, stating that I put something in my pocket that I needed to pay for. I pulled my phone out and he simply said "oh", stating that he though it was "drill bits or something". I joked that I took it from aisle one, to which he didn't find that very amusing. I described this because, even tough I ultimately wasn't that bothered, this is very much something you could find yourself being sued for. This is a pretty clear cut discrimination case and someone more petty than me would definitely do something about it. I don't know if much can really be done about it, but being profiled for a criminal reminds me of why I enjoy shopping at Lowes more."

"The experience my family has had with Home Depot has been nothing short of a logistical nightmare. Not only have I been notified multiple times to pick up my order from the store when it in fact was not ready, I’ve also opted for home delivery where my order was delivered incomplete. If I were not halfway through this flooring project and locked into this exact brand, I would cancel my order altogether and go to a different store. Rest assured I will not be making any purchases from this store in the future."

"Paint section is really great. Rental is another story. Hard to even describe, but every single interaction is awkwardly combative for no reason at all. It’s the oddest thing."
