SpringHill Suites by Marriott Miami Doral

"I wish I could give it five-stars, but I was disappointed with our stay. The room and bed are extremely comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. Housekeeping was very friendly and made sure to always greet us in the mornings, as well as ask if there was anything they could do for us. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to take a hot shower all weekend. The water was luke-warm, at best. When we reported this to the front desk staff, they stated that it’s been like that because it’s cold outside and the water won’t heat up. I’m sorry, but it’s 80 degrees outside - thats not an excuse. We decided to stay out of pure convenience, but we’re disappointed with the situation and how it was handled. The hotel is located in a very convenient area with nice restaurants nearby."

"I realize breakfast is free, but it's absolutely awful. So don't plan on having breakfast there. Everything is pre-cooked and packages that can truly make you sick. I feel the corporate office needs to come down here and check this out."

"An hour post check in time, around 520pm, after having traveled 4 hours, we received an email this location had NO RUNNING HOT WATER. Arrangements for this stay were made a month in advance with the efforts of acquiring the best rate however with the inconvenience of their water heater going out, we were given the option to cancel for a refund that could take 7-10days, have no where to stay, or continue with the reservation at full rate and deal with cold water in the winter with a cold front and anemia. No transfer to another location was offered at the rate paid and when asked about the status of the repair we were told hopefully tonight by phone to then walk into the lobby Friday night to hear the host informing others they couldn’t guarantee the fix until next week. I’m grateful we had a roof to sleep under but disappointed and dampened with the lies as a BONVOY member."

"I, apparently, did not look at a map correctly as I did not realize where this hotel is located. It is not really convenient to get to the Port of Miami. The receptionist was not friendly or welcoming. A lot of guest noise in the hallways. On the plus side, room was clean and bed comfortable. I don’t see myself staying a second time."

"5 star for an economy hotel. We have stayed here several times. The rooms are huge for a hotel. The beds good and comfortable. We usually don’t eat breakfast so can’t speak to that. Coffee station all day. Desk employees have always been great."
