Largo Resort

"Man I hate to leave this review because I didn’t get the chance to stay there. I booked for one night on the night we were flying to Fort Lauderdale. Our flight got diverted to Orlando mid-flight and a total nightmare ensued. I won’t go into those details but the bottom line is we were unable to make it to Key Largo for circumstances completely outside of our control. I can easily provide written documentation of this situation. I called and spoke to GM Alyssa to ask for an exception to their no refund policy, even asking if maybe we could avoid a cleaning fee. They said they can’t make exceptions but that they could offer us a date change. The only date that would work for us, the entire place is booked for an event. We paid $581. I’m devastated to have lost that much money on top of having to pay for a random hotel in Melbourne after renting a car from Orlando airport, more gas, more tolls, etc etc. I know the flight snafu is not their fault but I booked directly through Largo Resort, not a 3rd party, so I’m really surprised they couldn’t throw me $100 sympathy refund."

"We were at the Largo Resort on the weekend (February 10, 2024) for a family wedding. What an amazing place! From the people at the front desk, to housekeeping and the onsite property/maintenance man we were taken care of. Such a beautiful location with great accommodations. Thank you Largo Resort Team for an amazing weekend!"

"We did a resort buyout for our wedding weekend in December 2023. Unfortunately, we were unable to have our wedding (~80 people) on site due to severe weather including gale force winds, rain, thunder/lightning and the possibility of the site flooding. The safety of our guests and vendors was important, and we were advised by our very experienced planner that we needed to find an indoor venue (within 48 hours of our wedding - stressful). While our circumstances were extremely uncommon, there are some things you should be aware of as you consider the Largo Resort for your wedding… Pros: The décor is really lovely, which is why I picked it in the first place. The pool is very nice and a great place to hang out with your guests. There are two houses next to the resort that have the same Bali-inspired theme. The staff gave a family in our group the two bedroom house after learning the number of guests in their original room would be too many. This was very nice. Cons: Rooms closest to the entrance have road noise. Rooms are touted as luxury but half of them have Murphy beds, which is a let down when guests are paying so much. We were given two suggestions to get us to keep our wedding on site. One was to get rain boots for all of our guests. The second was to relocate our wedding into the Grand Lodge, even though they originally told us this wouldn't be an option due to the building's fire code. After MANY conversations, we were given only 20% of our site fee back. We were told that Key Largo would need to be evacuated according to our contract, even though circumstances meant we could not safely have a wedding on premises. Overall, we truly wanted to get married on site but simply couldn't due to safety. The response from Largo Resort was that of a corporation, and not a local resort who wanted to ensure someone's wedding weekend was as perfect as it could be. No one can control the weather, but you can control how you react to it."

"This is a beautiful resort with great rooms, and warm friendly hospitality. I've had the pleasure of bringing good times to multiple couples and their guests here, and they were equally very pleased with everything. It's always such a pleasure to be here creating fun, memorable celebrations!"

"We had an absolutely amazing experience at Largo Resort!! We did a resort buyout for our wedding and it was everything we could've ever wanted and more. Meghan was incredibly accommodating and helped bring our event together. She was always so responsive and consistently asking if we needed anything. The resort was stunning! The Grand Lodge pictures online were nothing compared to it in person. It was great being right on the water and having the kayaks and paddle boards for use. We can't wait to Plan another trip down! Thank you Meghan and the entire largo resort staff for making our wedding weekend as memorable and amazing as possible!!"
