"I took a chance or so I thought and brought my 19 year old nonspeaking son with DS to the speller center. I was not certain of what to expect. Dana showed me through using the SPELLER method with my son that he is indeed very smart and there is so much more to him than your typical "expert" would have said. I watched with a skeptical eye at first, but I quickly saw that it is truly my son spelling out these words. I learned so much more than I anticipated. I finally understand my son in ways I truly did not think I ever would. And now the future is so bright knowing that someday I and everyone else will get to know his thoughts as well as he improves.
