UHealth Jackson Urgent Care | Doral

"I came by Ambulance on Jan 29,2024. I am not from here and was alone when I arrived.My back was hurting badly and I was unable to walk or sit or do anything. The Nurse and ER doc asked me a few questions but I was crying so hard. They pushed my bed against the wall for 2 hours before I was given any pain medicine. It was a nightmare. The ER doctor came up to me and said "I have given you so much pain medicine you should be asleep". I looked at him and couldn't stop crying. Next thing I was getting a CT scan . I couldn't raise my arms and I could tell the tech was upset nor could I stay still. He pulled me out of the Ct scan and THREW ME OFF THE TABLE to the bed. I screamed and I was hysterical. After that I guess they put me to sleep and I woke up with the nurse asking me what state I was in. Still in pain and still crying and my phone is dead she takes me by wheelchair and dumps me in the front of the hospital. The nurse doesn't know How or care how I am getting home. I was sitting in that wheelchair crying and scared. I finally got to my hotel and stayed up all night hurting and wishing I was not alive because the pain was EXCRUCIATING . I went the next morning to a hospital that cares (Cleveland Clinic). They looked at me and admitted me right away. I had a MRI and I had disc disease at L5/s1 in the lumbar spine. I had a TEAR in the left lumbar posterior and severe neuroforaminal stenosis at C5-6 and C6-7..The people at Jackson Health treated me as if I was a drug user and I find this UNACCEPTABLE FOR anyone to ever go through. My husband is a colon and rectal Surgeon I told them many times and they looked at me like I was lying. I have PTSD from this horrible experience."

"This was my first visit here and it was quite an eventful (In a good way). The wait was pretty short so that’s also a good thing. The nurse Celeste was so kind and we had a laugh about how I got my small fracture (I slapped my hand against the wall trying to kill a bug) needless to say every worker there showed compassion for my injury regardless of how I got it. Dr. Villaverde was very kind as well and showed great concern and was non-negligent. Raul was the one who handled my X-Ray and he was eager to help us out with any questions that we had. Overall, UrgentCare was far more trustworthy than I expected, and if I ever fracture my finger again, they’ll be the first place I go to."
