Cafe Perks 17-92

"Went here for breakfast. Granted it was busy, not horrible but we were able to find a booth right away. We ordered coffee, 2 waters and a milk, which started came out wrong. One water missing and coffee was just over half in the cup. No big deal. We then ordered our food, which we sat and waited 45 minutes for and never came out. During this time no one came to our table to check on us. We ended up leaving. Not a good first impression"

"Bacon cheeseburger with onion rings & coleslaw. This burger was so succulent. Cooked to perfection! Onion rings were nothing special, but that burger! Can't wait to try breakfast. P.J. was my server, she knew everyone's name she was serving. Shook my hand and welcomed me in with a lot of information."

"We love this place. You feel like family when you walk through the door. Their food is unpretentious, fairly priced, delicious, and mostly artery-clogging, which is exactly what we want out of a diner. 10/10, will keep coming back forever. When we order delivery, it arrives piping hot. It’s excellent."

"I have eaten a couple of meals here. Staff is friendly. I have never seen an ad for it but it always had people in it. Waitress Sally recommended the fish fillet, which was really good. She said people have it for breakfast all the time, which makes sense because their standard breakfast is only like $5! It was lightly breaded and perfectly fried. Delicate flavor, not fishy. I will have this from now on. Sunny side up eggs were perfect. You can have swirl rye bread on the side with breakfast. They have real hash browns, not "our take on hash browns." I had the cinnamon swirl pancake, which is caramelized on the griddle. Unique. The picture is the one I took to my boy and he gave it a rare "thumbs up, very good." It is funny that people wait in line at the Wendy's in front of this hidden gem when there is a better burger inside. So it was all good. I have to mention the fish filet again. I did not see it on the menu, so it may be limited quantities. Waitress may recommend this to you to when they have it, in which case, get it, even if you are not a fish person, because I am not. Place is a real delight."

"My dad loves this place, he has been coming here every week for about a year now and I think the people that work here know it haha I felt really welcomed and we saw chalkboard signs that said happy birthday superman and then we got to meet superman himself and say happy birthday to him before we left! Haha he had a superman apron on so he was easy to spot but my dad knows him from his frequent visits. Dad said the chef introduced himself too because he wanted to know who was buying the fish at breakfast hahah the food here is great! I got the skillet and this is the 3rd skillet I have tried in my travels. I give it top 2. I will be back one day with the fam. Great spot, good people good food. Would recommend!!"
