"I had surgery here on Feb. 6. The entire care team was excellent! Downside - I paid for my surgery with my healthcare FSA, which requires a invoice showing payment. I called the billing office and was told they could provide me this only by mail and it would take 30 days. So, I went in person to Registration, who referred me across the hall to Medical Records. Medical Records told me, "Sorry, that's all handled in Jacksonville", then sent me back to Registration, where I was asked if I had checked my portal. My portal does not even include that date of service. So, in the entirety of the complex there is no one that can provide me with a statement??? Seems odd for a business that readily accepted my $1000 payment."

"I went there for surgery. The doctors and staff are exceptional in their approach and treatment. Having served as a firefighter paramedic, I have taken patients to a number of hospitals and worked with Doctor's, Nurse's, and ER personnel many times. This hospital HCA Fl West has the very best in Nurse's, Doctor's, and rehab staff in any I have visited by far!"

"Came into the Emergency Room with severe abdominal pain. ER physician ordered a CT scan. Within 6 hours of arrival I was up on the floor (3 North). I received the best service while I was there, the nurses, medical technicians and entire staff were awesome. The hospitialist was great and genuinely concerned of my issues. Many thank especially to my nurses Phi (amazing) and Savannah, Dylan, and Dr. Holland for providing such awesome care! I hope there isn’t any need to return, but if so, it will certainly be HCA Florida West!"

"Amanda inge was one of the best nurses during my stay this past week. She helped me in explaining all my meds and care plan. And was on top of everything she treated me with compassion and professionalism at the same time. If all the nurses and staff were like this it would be awesome, thank you for everything."

"My mother is currently hospitalized here for a brain bleed. We have asked for multiple days for a second neuro check, CT scan and MRI as she has had constant head pain since her move from CCU and had severe personality changes. NO follow up neurologically has happened since she was moved from CCU 5 days ago. Case worker (Delia) repeatedly stated for us to take her back to CT where she no longer lives and that she has no benefits here and the hospital will not keep her here. She told my currently mentally impaired mother who does not understand that’s she’s had a brain bleed - that she is being released today (Friday) and she’ll have her out in minutes - I stated my reservations as she cannot walk without assistance, bathe or understand what’s happening. I left and called her after reflecting on what to do and was told my mother would not appreciate being talked about behind her back, that the hospital cannot keep her as her insurance is exhausted. A short time later the doctor came in and said the case worker had no right to tell my mother she was being released and that she clearly cannot care for herself or walk. This sent my mother into a spiraling upset fit which could have been avoided. She is no where near going home. Once I stated we could pay for inpatient therapy, Delia’s entire personality changed and she became much nicer. Since this occurred, we have repeatedly asked for a second neuro check and CT scan and have been refused by Dr Bennett (supposedly because she has no in state insurance since this is what has been repeated to me). I would like it reported that she was refused a second opinion, her wishes for her brain bleed to be checked and potentially surgically removed, ignored and refused, that it took more than 5 hours to receive pain medication after she paged more than 4x for assistance and that her bed alarm has been found off upon our arrival and that her care has been in general abysmal. If she is released and refused medical care due to lack of insurance, I would also like it stated that we will take action if she suffers another brain bleed, stroke or injury upon her release."
