"mom of adolescence admitted, POV review. For starters we have the privilege of having 2 insurances. Unfortunately It can make a difference. My teen was having a mental health crisis. Admitted 12 days adolescence wing. 1st week communication was 5 stars. Then I had to request updates. Day 7, I requested to speak to the Dr, He spoke to us together on day 10. He did apologize for the delay & spent 30 min discussing progress & what discharge & Outpatient would looked like. He was able to get help & diagnosis during his stay. Every med administered was discussed with me 1st. They don't like to force meds unless necessary. This place is very structured & runs on a schedule. Daily visits M-F 4-5pm & Sat/Sun 1:30-3pm. My advice to parents, write a timeline of events that lead up to being admitted. Then keep a log of every time you speak(phone or in person) to a nurse, Dr, your kid. This will help you keep track of things. Overall I was impressed with how this facility helped my son. We had a issue with the medication sent to the pharmacy after discharge. Took 2 calls to fix the issue. Nurse apologized for their mistake. I hope mmy son never has to return, if he has another crisis, we will request this place. To parents of someone in here, support your loved one, advocate for them & hang in there... yall will get through this ❤️"

"This place is not a place to send your children when they need help, this place strips your humanity and there were many patients in there who got away with things and ended up hurting people who didn't deserve it. They had our unit below the adult's unit and would overheard horrific things they would say to eachother. Keep in mind this was 4 years ago so things could've changed but from reading the reviews alone they haven't. Please don't send your child here because that will traumatize them more and make them resent you."

"Most of the nurses are very unhelpful and rude. They never give you updates or tell you anything rather than just enforcing rules. This place is truly a joke and I would not recommend this place to anyone. You get treated so poorly by the staff it's like they don't even see you as human. A mental hospital should be full of love, care and support. This place was everything but that."

"Disgusting place. Extremely unsanitary and the staff really doesn’t care about you. There are maybe 2 nurses I can say okay things about but even then they’re just NICE not HELPFUL. They always want to inform us about the rules, but never enforce them when they’re being broken. The rooms are a whole other type of bad, dirty, dusty, marked up all over even on the windows, the bathrooms look like they’re never cleaned… it was just overall so, so bad"

"Jay is incredible. He actually made me feel human. He was always kind about rules, which I appreciate. Tyrek I’ve only met once, but he was really chill and nice too. 5 stars for just them. They made life more enjoyable there."
