"I LOVED my 2 bedroom one bath! I even recommended a good friend here after moving. It really does boast lots of charm! The hardwood floors, loads of natural light, dual entrances, location, rad neighbors, and super pet friendly maintenance were all Perks. The office staff was always quick to answer or return calls, rent was rather affordable, and the maintenence was very good at responding to even the smallest issue. You can walk to the main area of town and there's a great park just a couple blocks away. The whole community is very dog friendly. The only 2 negatives were: 1. Upon moving out I was given a contact that I HAD to use for the cleaning. No one from that number ever called me back or answered my repetitious calls. After I moved they told me it was because they contracted with a different company and still charged me for not having it cleaned by their newly contracted company (that I did not have the contact info for until well after I moved) 2. I asked if I could keep a potted herb garden on the porch. Initially I was verbally told yes by office staff, then one day while watering I was told by the property manager that if I didn't move the plants to the inner stairwell that all plants and pots would be thrown away. I suggested that it would violate fire safety codes to block the stairs and she just said to get rid of them before she did (again, after I initially received verbal permission from the office. Get everything in writing I suppose) *disclaimer-lock your car doors*"

"If you're ever looking for an apartment , never move here . For the last year , living here has been nothing but hell . From the rude and racist office staff that has been hoping for us to leave daily , to the loud neighbors, thin walls and poor management that does nothing about any issues you may have . This was never a home . Just a high priced apartment that doesn't care about their tenants but will make sure you know you owe them money and they will collect . To be treated so poorly by a company , it's unacceptable . Never late on rent , never late on bills . The least that was expected was respect . I have never been more disappointed with a company than I am with Hillcrest and Thayer Properties . Thank you Rhonda , Penny and Ann Marie for making this experience so unpleasant . I will never rent from this company again ."
