"FILTHY. BEWARE. I am a Diamond Elite member with the Hilton platform. I stay in 2-4 hotels every single week and I can honestly say I am shocked that Hilton is letting a hotel like this operate under their name. I only had 10 hours to rest here, that’s it. The first room I was given was RANCID. From a glance it looked okay, but after checking the bedding, the mattress, and behind the bed I was SHOCKED. Snot, hair, crumbs, dead skin, and scum EVERYWHERE. The wall behind the bed and underneath the nightstand was splattered with a red substance that smelled very strongly of vomit. The mattress was rancid also. The underside was even worse. It’s as if they had just flipped the mattress when the staining got too bad and then allowed the same level of staining to occur on the top side! REPLACE IT!! Absolutely no liquid/bug proof protector on either the mattress or the box spring. I thought this was a requirement at Hilton hotels? In 2024 it’s inexcusable to not have them. Dust all over the carpet, the ceiling/walls are cracking, the refrigerator sounded like a gas powered generator running all night long (video included), the tile flooring is so sticky my shoes were sticking to them and the A/C unit was musty, damp, and ineffective. This was all in my first room. I got into my SECOND room and it was literally just as nasty. I have included photos from BOTH rooms. To someone who does not know what to look for this hotel can easily fool you and I genuinely believe that’s where the handful of positive reviews stem from. From a quick glance the hotel looks great outside and the lobby looks brand new. The rooms look acceptable in low light and to someone who does not check properly. I had no other choice but to try and sleep in this filthy dump. I will NEVER stay here again. Unfortunately it seemed like even with as bad as this hotel is it’s still the best Columbus has to offer. Why is it SO hard to find a clean hotel in the state of Georgia?"

"Only one elevator works, very slowly. Asked for 1st floor in advance, but they only had 4th floor. They are pet friendly and the staff was very nice."

"We are big fans of Home2 suites hotels. We arrived here directly from spending 3 nights at the brand new property at Santa Rosa Beach, FL. That’s for another review. We are Hilton Honors Members and have stayed at several Home2 Suites across the south east. From the outset Columbus did not live up to our expectations. The online checkin failed and referred us to the front desk for checkin. The app based room key never worked. Initially it was because the app still thought we were at Santa Rosa Beach. However, after that issue was resolved the app key didn’t work. Only one of the hard keys worked. It’s apparent that the Columbus property is a refurbished older hotel. All of the appropriate furnishings are there. But the updated electronic and automated technology room features are missing. The staff are friendly and willing but the food warmer on the breakfast bar was down, and there was no cold cereal available. On balance it was an ok one night stop over because of convenient access to the highways. But would not choose it for an extended stay. As an aside applicable to all the properties in the chain. The breakfast bars would benefit from adding a selection of pastries and selection of meats (ie Bacon, sausage, ham…) to the breakfast bar."

"We were allowed to check in even though there was no water on in the hotel. We couldn’t even flush the toilet until 9:00 that night. When the water came back on, it was cold only and hot water wasn’t restored until the next morning. When we checked out Monday morning, we asked to speak with the manager and were told he would not be in until 9:30!"

"Fist off, the staff was lazy and didn't care about doing their jobs. I had to request room to be cleaned 3 days in a row until it was actually done. This was my 10th day here!! I had to change my own sheets. The maid was rude to me as I was checking out. My door hinge at the top of my door popped out from having to pull my door shut over and over becasus the door wouldn't close when I would leave my room. They also charged me 500 dollars for cleaning and the door issue. This is insulting since I've been a diamond member for 7 years now and have never experienced this at any hotel before. I would say I will never be staying at Hilton again. But overall I've always had bad experiences in Georgia."
