"K’na is one of the best leasing consultants I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I went to Avonlea interested in some 1Br plans and she gladly showed us around the property and multiple layouts. She was willing to explain all the processes and work with me on finding the right place for me and my young son, no matter my limitations. Hands down an awesome human being!!"

"Nitwits in the leasing office prioritize mailbox vanity over the importance of mail actually being delivered to residents. So, if the mail boxes “need” to be repainted or something similarly inane, leasing office will schedule service on days other than Sunday, so residents go without receiving anything for a couple days at the very least. Leasing office actually sends mail/packages BACK to USPS so even if you’ve paid for expedited shipping (like myself, because my blood pressure medication is shipped) then I have to wait an additional few days without medication because my mail is being processed/shipped all over again. There’s a big difference between “complaining just for tue sake of complaining” and being gypped out of my blood pressure AND ovarian medications. Leasing office would rather inconvenience residents by sending their mail back to the post office before scheduling mail construction services on Sundays (because that would mean someone has to come in on his/her day off). Also, there’s a lot of traffic that comes through the complex via the Green Prints Trail, most of which are individuals who aren’t even residents, and they’ll make out/drink/whatever on the play ground without the courtesy officer asking them to leave. He literally lives in a unit/building right in front of the playground where creeps/non-residents loiter on a nightly basis (this is right by a “private property only” sign, which they obviously pay no attention to, since no one ever asks them to leave). The courtesy officer is more concerned with hitting on single women he sees in the gym at night, or women he sees by the pool; if it’s a male/female/couple dynamic, he informs everyone to be out by 10 PM and that’s the extent of his courtesy officer duties. Personally, I’ve run into several men on my way to the trail (or coming back home) and I’ve had to firmly tell them to leave me alone/quit cat-calling/basically pretend to be “tough” even though I’m legitimately scared because I’m one very small female being approached by males who are much larger than me, and who don’t even live in my complex. To avoid this from happening I go to the gym and it’s cut my anxiety in half, but it stinks because Avonlea should be more diligent about who’s allowed on the property and how to prioritize issues within the complex. They take the path of least resistance every single time, and it shows- as someone who worked for GPSTC for several years, having a courtesy officer who hasn’t even recertified since 1999 is an atrocity in itself. All that being said- it’s not cheap to live here, so find a complex that prioritizes safety for residents so you’re comfortable enough to take walks without being afraid. Lastly, find a complex that understands the importance of resident mail, and the importance for some people means more than Amazon purchases and/or “live laugh love” decor; it can be medication (i.e. like me), legal notices/court summons/items that need to be received so the recipient doesn’t end up being screwed just because some 20 year old leasing office derp didn’t take bigger picture circumstance into consideration before sending all mail back to the post office."

"My roommate and I love Avonlea! It is the cleanest apartment complex we have ever lived in (we have lived in 3 other ones). The staff at the front are so incredibly nice and we love Michelle! The pools and gym are also in outstanding condition compared to most apartment complexes around. I would totally recommend anyone to live here!"

"We love living here! We've been at Avonlea Towne Lake for over 3 years and enjoy the beautiful pools, the entrance to the walking path to downtown Woodstock and the fun community events! The office staff is super helpful and the maintenance staff is prompt if we ever have a need. The landscaping is well kept and the trees are beautiful when they bloom in the spring and the leaves change in the fall!"

"This place has all the amenities you will need. Even a Carwash. Very peaceful and people seemed to be nice. Maintenance respond the following day and although they have after hour (emergency maintenance) you will not get anyone to help you. NEGATIVE TO ME: My apartment ac seems to have a Freon leak or some type of issue that i need To make a work order once a month. They only add Freon and know they will be back soon to add more yet don’t fix the issue so they don’t have to keep bothering me and entering my apartment. Bathroom tubs are starting to peal paint. My apartment currently had an issue and almost caught on fire due to old wiring with built alarm box and ac. Thing started smoking really bad. Good thing we were home else it would’ve caught on fire with my pet inside. Fire department came to inspect and explained the Very bad set up. Alarm/fire/smoke detectors did not work. They claim the city will fine them for this. I have Not had a good experience here we soo many issues. I cancelled My lease due to not feeling comfortable anymore and paid more to terminate lease than just living it. If i had A good reliable apartment that didn’t require so many repairs i would Be ok living here. Ac freezes once a month also. Just too many issues and i deserved To have the lease terminated at no charge but o well. Recommend looking somewhere else but again, may just be my luck with my unit."
