"This place is great and if it's not family owned, it sure feels like it is. The people who work here are so friendly and knowledgeable. We were in the market for baby chickens. Tractor supply said every time, "oh, we never know when our next shipment will come in so just keep checking back with us." Troup Farm and Yard (who we also love) said, "we're sold out and won't get our next shipment for a couple months." Lee's is different. They pulled out their order forms and went over the whole thing with me! "Here is when we are supposed to get bantams delivered - they come straight run" "This is the date we should have blue star chicks delivered - they will all be pullets." We were fortunate enough to buy 11 baby chickens on 3/10 and we gave them to our broody girl. These chicks are healthy and happy - just thriving! We also purchased a strawberry plant from Lee's that's doing just fine, some seeds to sow some collard greens, and some specialty soil I haven't seen for sale anywhere else. The prices of their feed are also lower than what you'd find at Tractor Supply (and it feels better to support a local business anyway). Highly recommended going to Lee's for that family friendly vibe when shopping for your farming and livestock needs."
