"This was my first Homewood Suites experience. I was in Macon, GA. They came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Outstanding staff, nice food, very clean inside and outside and spacious suites. Plenty of free parking and very well lit. I felt safe there. And this location is just over the hill from I-75. This area is loaded with conveniences, including Dunkin, Publix, CVS, gas, restaurants and more. I enjoyed my stay."
"I gave an overall 3 star because, during the overnight stay, we had the most difficult time calling the front desk for extra towels. I had to use my phone and call. Also, the sofa bed was HORRIBLE!! This could really be a top-knotch place if the phone in the room worked and the mattress on the sofabed didn't have the worst lump and looked infested."
"The only thing great about this hotel is the location. Early check in was not honored so we thought the room would be super clean. Well the room has stains everywhere on the carpet, walls, even the ironing board. It needs renovations especially in the bathroom where there were blood looking/brown stains on the door, cracks all over the place, etc. We only stayed one night but can’t even imagine staying the second night because it is so uncomfortable. I will likely choose another north Macon hotel next time."
"It was nice to have a door separating the two rooms. The breakfast was standard; not as good or varied as the H2S a few miles south nor did it have an outdoor fireplace. The Wednesday complimentary dinner was better than expected. Situated in a quiet place, but across Bass Road from a Publix + some chain restaurants. However there is a high class Italian restaurant next door which is reportedly good. The staff were nice and responsive."
"I recently stayed at the Homewood Suites following a major surgery where I needed a handicap accessible room and lots of space to rehab and do physical therapy. This hotel and its staff were AMAZING!! The staff went out of their way to make me comfortable and to address my needs. The breakfast every morning was delicious and hot, with lots of choices. The room was large and spacious and very well maintained. The front desk staff checked on me and asked if I needed anything. Overall, my two week stay was the best medicine for me recovery. I only wish I could have stayed longer. A++ Anne at the Front Desk is a superb ambassador for the hotel, and Trish, head of housekeeping, is so kind and thoughtful, she feels like family."
