"We used the boat launch and it was well maintained and easy to access & launch from. Bathrooms were clean and close to the launch."

""Recreation area" is incredibly misleading. It's just a very large parking lot, two boat ramps, and some picnic tables with grills dotted amongst the trees. You're not even allowed to go swimming from the dock. There's no walking paths anywhere and the road dead-ends instead of looping around to substitute as a walking path. There are restrooms but I didn't check whether they were open or locked."
"I love going to this recreation area! It's tucked away in a quiet and relaxing area and it's easy to get to. Now, obviously West Point Lake is spectacular, but how did we all get so lucky to have such a welcoming and inviting gift of nature to retreat to when the stress of every day life has taken its toll on us. I'm so grateful to live near this amazing area! At West Lake, all of the recreation areas provided for our enjoyment are always so we'll kept and cared for. And as an added bonus, the people in this area are usually rather hospitable and quick to give you a good ol' wave and a smile to carry you through your day. That's the way it should be. Caring for our land and for each other!"
