"Having grown up eating authentic Mexican food in Texas, I will have to say it's hit or miss with La Costilla. I have eaten here during the summer months on the outside patio, and the food and experience was more pleasurable. However, we ate in the inside dining room this past week, and the experience was not as pleasant. When we walked in we had to wait a couple of minutes for someone to come to the front to greet us. The restaurant was extremely cold inside, even though it was both cold and rainy outside. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, things went down once we received our food. I ordered the chicken burrito, and It was extremely huge and was filled as requested with the refried beans to the side. However, when I bit into the burrito, the food was so cold and I did not enjoy it. My husband ordered the steak fajitas and the onions and peppers were not soft and the meat was not tender and hot at all. How can you serve Mexican fajitas that don't come to the table still sizzling? We were disappointed in our latest experience at La Costilla and have mixed feelings about returning."

"The restaurant is clean. Good service but the food is regular. Nothing special about the food and I've been to a lot of Mexican spots.. Service was good though. Ppl nice.. Oh work on that salsa please."
