"Standards are lowering! In the pass it was 3 places I knew I could count on Publix, Chick fil an and Ingles and sadly to say they all have gone down since Covid and hasn’t made a comeback yet!"

The girl pulled out bread and walk away for 3 years and hasn't returned. Had this sandwich not been for my son, I'd leave. Took forever for anyone to acknowledge my presence. And now everyone has disappeared."

"I love Ingles. They always have fresh produce and meats keep the store very clean. The only thing I don't like is the abnormally high prices. Sometimes they'll have a sale out of this world which I love but other times something will be on "sale" but it's really the normal price everywhere else. Regardless it's is a good store and everyone is always friendly so I would recommend"

"Summary: You can’t use your phone number for fuel perks at the pump. That’s easy to fix and incredibly outdated to expect me to keep a physical card or memorize my member number. - - - - Story Edition: Meh. I don’t go out of my way to shop at ingles and stopping here today has reinforced that unconscious truth. There’s an inglés near me but it doesn’t have a gas station. I shop there occasionally for convenience or for irregular items that aren’t always carried at my usual grocer. I’ve accrued fuel perks but haven’t been able to use them due to there not being a convenient ingles gas station to my normal transits. By chance today, I passed this location and needed gas. I figured I could cash out my available fuel perks for the first time as well. When I attempted to use the “member” options at the pump, I was unable to proceed after inputting my phone number. It just went blank and started over. I hit “help” thinking it would offer an alternate ID option, like Kroger does. Nope. Nothing happened. Machine froze so I went to the window and asked if I could provide my phone number and the clerk pointed to a hand written sign taped to the glass (7 or so inches below eye level next to other promotional and policy signage) and then they explained what was written: you must have the member id on the back of the card or the physical card to scan in order to use the perks. What a waste. In a digital age, you won’t catch me cluttering my wallet or key ring with a membership card. There are SO many other options (and maybe inglés has them and failed to inform me of such when the opportunity presented itself) that could avoid this unpleasant experience or unnecessary extras for ingles customers but it seems they’re operating like it’s 1996. IMO, in the local grocery store hierarchy, they’re lower quality than Publix but somehow more expensive, and cashiers are consistently less friendly here. Now to boot I’ve learned they’re technology-averse. I think I’m ingles averse at this point as well. No loss for me but with as empty as I normally see their stores I assume too many folks like me could be real bad for business. Living wages are awesome, so as long as that is why you’re pricey, keep doing your thing. But maybe hire some programmers and update your systems, ingles, so you can keep relevant and continue paying your employees."

"When I first started going there for the hot foods, it was a nice variety. Each day the menu would be different. Now it is about the same everyday. No different choices. Fried chicken over cooked. The salad bar use to use Romain Lettuce and now just iceberg lettuce. Hot food department is slipping."
