Amanda was able to fix an issue that was created by the Gainesville location. She did a great job of owning the customer service I received and didn't bash the other store for messing up. "I went on a Friday afternoon to make my first firearm purchase. Daniel who was “manning” that department was outstanding. Walked me through every step professionally. I not once felt rushed or less than for not having much knowledge about the process of purchasing a weapon. Later, Austin the team leader on duty came back to further assist me with the finishing touches on my purchase. He then told me a little about himself and engaged in great conversation. It felt genuine. A well deserved promotion! My last encounter was with Melanie. The cashier. She made sure to be positive, energetic, wore a smile and had great hospitality. To the crew at Academy Sports. Thank you for your patience and support on such an exciting but nervous purchase for me. It meant a lot."
"This used to be my favorite place to get my athletic wear. Out of stock on ladies size medium in every pair of shorts that i wanted to buy that didn't have recycled polyester. Also I wished that they would stop trying to sell these clothes made with recycled polyester/bottles because they ARE NOT THE SAME QUALITY as before. They start coming apart after several washings and they don't even feel the same. When i went to check out Sunday there was 1 cashier at returns and 1 for the rest of us 14 people in line waiting and waiting that i almost gave up. Please do better Academy."
