"Unfortunately, over the last several months this location (the original location) has gone from my “go to” pizza place to something resembling a low end pizza chain. After several attempts to order pizza from their online site- which was unresponsive, I tried calling- the phone’s voicemail was full?!? More recently I did get through on the phone and was told 35-40 minutes for my order- arriving 40 minutes later I was told 5 more minutes- waited 20 and finally had to ask how much longer. The place was half full on a Thursday night - so my frustration was warranted. I live 3 minutes from the place and got home to find one pizza cold as ice. Obviously it had been made awhile ago and sat somewhere getting frosty. So disappointing- and $50 for a large and medium it’s not worth it. Hope they get their act together soon, but I’m not holding my breath. Post script- I spoke with the manager and returned the cold pizza for a hot one and the manager was very professional and apologetic and explained they lost a lot of staff recently during a change in ownership. Fingers crossed it improves."

Mellow Mushroom @ Emory is a diamond a place where the power of great food transcends the imperfections of its owner, so please enjoy it before the new owner ruins it for good. It's a culinary enigma, a place where one can savor the world's best pizza (even without beer or wine), while simultaneously bemoaning the signs of its owner's neglect. Believe it or not, for too many weeks the staff still believes their liquor license will be ready "by next week." And yet, amidst the owner's created chaos and disarray, one thing remains clear: ...is a place where culinary pizza magic happens. UPDATE: After months of waiting, the owner finally got the issues with their liquor license squared away. It's a real pizzeria again! The cooks are doing their job, let's hope shift managers, waiters, and bartenders can hide all the owner's malfeasance from the clients."

"Our favorite restaurant. They have been without a liquor license awhile but we are toughing it out with them! Unique and tasty pizzas and sandwiches, good local brews when they're serving. The young people who work there are ALL friendly and capable. Funky 70s style at this location, the original since 74."

"Used to love this location but sadly not so much on my last visit. Our server Bedy was awesome. The food was great as usual. Unfortunately, the new manager (I'm assuming new as he wasn't here the last time) Greg not so much. We sat outside (as there was a rather bizarre smell I guess cleaning or something). Outside was great until I asked to have one of the heaters turned down (so as to not feel like I was sitting in their oven). Given his reaction, I guess this was a huge ask (turning the knob that is). I would've been happy enough to do it myself had it been such a bother. I wouldn't have expected the waitress to be able to reach it as handily as he was with his height. I've been on the other side of customer service plenty and I know requests can get trying. That said, courtesy wins. Anything less than loses business."

"Great food, nice service. The ingredients are fresh especially the mushrooms. Today I ordered cloud 9 wings and a medium house special pizza. Love the thin crust that you can make it a roll! And won't feel too greasy like most pizza. Tbh this is my first time dining in at a Mellow Mushroom (although had many deliveries before) and it's beyond my expectations! Like the design of the menu as well!"
