Reviews
"This place is nothing but a joke just like the management thats running it and The guy thats hiding in the back office is just as clueless. They don't care about your issues or how old the buildings are that are built in the 1980's or the drug addicts they have residing around the neighborhood that be walking in the hallways at 3am. All they care about is you paying your rent on time or else the clueless manager will contact you threatening with an eviction. For the love of god and I'm saying this by experience......look somewhere else. Offce staff are nothing but fake acting and they will be nice to you until you sign that lease.....then you'll see the real side."
"I was a bit of jerk to write a bad review in the heat of the moment for a place that was my home for so long, quiet on the inlet to Onondaga lake and quiet. Staff are kind and take inquiries seriously and property is well maintained Maintenance is prompt and handles issues quickly, Would recommend to others"
"I've lived at these apartments for 3 years now, (Queen's Court) and I just started my 4th year at a different building (Still in Queen's Court). The apartments are reasonably nice, and the maintenance have done a good job refurbishing the apartments - if tenants actually move out, they have been slowly refurbishing and cleaning up the apartments one by one, so the new apartment I just hopped into had new soft carpets, new fridge, new stove and new countertops. They are a tad overpriced, but in comparison to a lot of different complexes, this has the best value to price. Depending on which section of Grenadier you live in, heat can be included in the rent's price, which in winter is such a benefit and worth the extra price of the apartment. The landscape is nice, and the neighborhood is quite safe and most if the time it's quiet. If you're living in the buildings closest to John Glenn, it can be annoying hearing the many cars go by, but its ignorable after a while. The other reviews are correct about the maintenance and lawn crew, as they are frequently mowing and cleaning in the mornings (and I have an odd sleep schedule due to my work schedule, so this causes some problems). But at least they're doing their best to take care of the property. They also do a great job of keeping the parking lots plowed and salted during the winter. The buildings are obviously old, but they're sturdy. Yes, you hear your neighbors from time to time, and the floors above you might creak, but as long as you're courteous, most of the time it'll be fine, and the neighbors will be courteous back. And gosh forbid, just mention it NICELY to the main office, so then they can see what the appropriate action should be. The washers and dryers in both buildings I've been in are quite old, and they only have 2 washers and 2 dryers per building. I'd personally would like to see one or two more. And to do a full load, wash and dry, costs $3.00, ($1.50 to wash, $1.50 to dry) and the funds have to be put on a re-fillable laundry card. But most of the time they work fine. The staff in the office are often kind and welcoming, and I've never had a bad experience with them personally. They're really quick about notifying maintenance if you need something, but you MUST notify them, otherwise maintenance will not know that something needs to be fixed! You can't just have the high hopes that the other tenants in the building will mention something. (I.e. Bees on the balcony, dryer not heating, etc.) As soon as you mention it, they'll get someone to work on it and it's usually resolved within a few days. A weird thing is that the place used to be anti-pet friendly (which to me was acceptable at the time), but post-COVID now they are still anti-pet, UNLESS its either a service animal (which are typically trained), or an Emotional Support Animal. No judgements here, I get it, but some of them you can tell aren't properly trained, so the more recent neighbors have dogs that just won't stop barking. The prices have gone up, but I attribute that to the lousy housing market and inflation. You ARE warned each year though if the price of your apt goes up and they even list average prices for comparison. And you are given plenty of time to consider other options. (You can even see if they have other Apts available for a lower price.) I've lived in several apartments over the years, but this is the first time I felt pretty good about an apartment complex and was willing to stay longer than a year. TL:DR; good sturdy apts, nice neighborhood, usually peaceful and quiet, good office crew, good maitenence, all at reasonable price for decent Apts. Not pet friendly unless for emotional/service support. Overall not a bad place to live."
"My fiancé and I have lived in the majestic circle area for three years and loved it. Affordable compared to some of the newer builds in the area and never had problems with any neighbors. The only issue that ever came up was bees on the back porch but we let management know and it was taken care of in a few days. The windows can get drafty in the winter but that is expected with the age of the apartments. If it were not for us moving out of state, we would gladly continue to live here."
"Everything is really old here. The apartments are outdated and the rent is too high. The laundry, washers/dryers, are older than me and I'm almost 30. Floors make noise, I can hear both my neighbors talking 24/7, you get dinged for hanging your tv, carpets are old and dirty/smell. The only upside to this place is the nature that surrounds it. Other than that I don't recommend this place. I'm ending my lease and from what ive researched, literally any place is better than this. Also people park in non parking places making it hard to get around. Until they update the apartments I don't see anyone paying these prices. Good luck Grenadier Village."
