Hampton Inn Batavia

"It is a sin that the owner who greeted us at the door tripled the price of a one night stay in the middle of a winter weather emergency. It was a complete whiteout on the thruway between rochester and buffalo. Accidents everywhere. The thruway got closed down seconds after we arrived to the hotel. My husband was giving rides to strangers who were stuck on the side of the road- bringing them to the hotel for shelter. Not to mention the room was very outdated - nowhere near worth the money we spent. Beyond grateful we were safe and had a place to stay to wait out the storm... but to know this women took advantage of people in need is disheartening. I do not recommend staying at this hotel."

"Love Hampton Inns, but not all are equal! For me, it's about the distinct cleanliness of the room, bed and location overall, with the smell test being my leading indicator. After that it's the bathroom, with my preference being walk-in shower, rather than tub. Next it's food and convenience. This location only has vending machines, which is weak for an otherwise good stay."

"Staff was lazy and not knowledgeable about their job. Hotel was dirty and needs proper maintenance. Shower is set up horribly inconvenient. Breakfast was non-existent and the lady in charge of it was just walking around. I would never stay here again. Water line running over electricity, utensils facing up so everyone can finger the business end. Shower rod falling of the wall."

"The online reservation system cancelled my room and the staff was extremely rude and disinterested in assisting my family. After nearly an hour at the front desk, we finally got checked into a room. Less then six hours later, the front desk woke us up, demanding that we come to the front desk. When I arrived to the front desk, the owner was there waiting for me. She was angry because her online system failed to charge my credit card. She was unconcerned with our lack of sleep and our inconvenience. All we wanted to do was to pay for a room and get a decent night sleep and all she wanted was for us to pay for our room...... for a third time!! (her system failed the first two times but she treated us as if it was somehow my fault)"

"This is by far the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The black out shade barely covered the window, there was no secondary shade to pull down, the carpert looked like it had never been cleaned. I didn't take a shower because the towels were filthy. I travel for work regularly and I will absolutely avoid staying here in the future. Very unfortunate as the staff was very nice."
