NYC Urban Apartments

"This company, to me, is a scam. When you are speaking with a specialist, they do not have a personal conversation with you. They give you a specific video to watch on their tablet. If you have questions, you may ask them to the specialist. However, the specialist only repeats what is already stated in the video and does not answer questions directly. In addition to this, they advocated for affordable housing and apartments. However, most of the time, the list of apartments that is posted on their site is still high in cost. You could find these apartments yourself online!! When you question them on this, they state that they can only control what the providers of the rentals give them and that they do not control the price. Although this is true, they make it seem like they have many apartments that are affordable and they do not. Also, sometimes when you call the landlords, they are not even responsive! Overall, it was a waste of 150 dollars. They send you emails stating that they have sent your "cover letter" to multiple landlords and other people; however, no one gets back to you. I paid for a 3 month service from this company and did not find a single thing nor did the landlords of other sites reach out to me. The company tries to advocate for themselves by suggesting that they are able to send your application to more sites than you would be able to and that is why they are helpful. This is a load of bull just to pull you in so that you can feel like they are doing something. If you ask me, do not use this service. You are better off hiring a broker or just submitting applications on your own. This company is a long lived scam. My Response To Their Comment Is Below: Additionally, this is me responding to their reply because they do not have any option to reply back to their comment. I do not care for an apology nor do I care for your acknowledgment in my not being able to find an apartment using your site. You all literally replied to my comment 4 or 5 months later. If you were truly sorry, you would have addressed this when I first commented. As I stated before, you people know what you are doing. You are advocating to the public that you have affordable and accessible housing but you do not. What you are doing is wrong and you all should feel ashamed of yourself for working for a company that takes advantage of people in desperation for housing. PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS SERVICE. THEY ARE SCAMMING YOU!!"

"SCAM!!!..... Why should anyone pay $120 to view an apartment? I have made numerous attempts by email and calling to view an apartment. They responded by text or email to go-to there site. When you call you do not speak to anyone but there is a recording about the apartments they have and there is a $120 fee to pay for a year. Why should there be any funds handed over to NYC Urban Apartment when clearly you haven't had a tour and agreed to signing a lease.... SCAM!!! SCAM!!!!..SCAM!!!..."

I spent 140$ and they don't even communicate with you over the phone all correspondence is done via email and you have to do all the foot work they don't make any phone calls for you they don't contact anyone for you Tobe honest what's the 140$ dollars for? Don't sign up with them unless you like madness"
