"The heating bills were extremely high ($843 in Feb for 1 person/1 bedroom). Despite paying so much, and constantly being energy conscious, I was still cold all winter long. All-in-all, I paid around $6,500 for energy over the course of 2 years. The heating costs/inefficiency are well-known problems for many tenants in the building (the building chat attests to this). However, management does nothing to fix the problem. Additionally, there was a window that did not open for the entirety of my 2-year stay in the apartment. The views are beautiful, of course. And there is much that I loved about the building, apartment, and the area in general. The super, Peter, is wonderful. The building management, however, is disappointing. Also, I felt misled since I specifically asked the broker regarding the heating bills before moving in, and he confirmed there would be no surprises there. In order for prospective tenants to make a fully informed decision, I have decided to write this review."

"Great building with amazing front desk staff and an incredible rooftop view. Special shout-out to Peter the superintendent. He was very responsive and very quick to handle any issues I had. He also ended up being one of my dog’s favorite people!"

"I have moved to a new city virtually every year for the last nine years, and, over the years, I've lived in dozens of different apartments and houses. After living here for a year, its clear: this building is the best of them. Across the board, the people are great. The super, Peter, is friendly, helpful, thoughtful, and responsive. For example, when we moved in, he gave us some furniture and offered to help us hang things on the ealls. All of the front desk people are top notch too. Their friendly; my partner and I will miss many of them. Truthfully, though, we haven't needed the super much, because it's such a well-constructed building. We haven't had any real problems, at all. No broken toilets, facets, laundry machines, or anything else. It is sound proof. Lots of people have animals here, and you never hear anything. In fact, sometimes I worry my cats are underestimated. People in the building have been largely friendly and communal. The rooftop here draws people together. And the roof top will make your friends want to come over. The view stuns. Finally, the subway location is ideal. I don't know what it means to walk far for a subway in New York. Overall, I rented the place blind while living in California, and I am so happy I picked here. The negatives? The bathtubs are big but there isn't enough hot water to fill them up. And, of course, it's tiny and criminally expensive, but that's New York. So while I recommend moving West, if you plan on staying here, this building is a great choice."

"Great building and excellent staff. Peter the super is a real gem. With staying home for work, my utilities got a bit higher but nothing unreasonable, which make sense considering the extra use of it. By the way, the roof top is out of this world."
