"DO NOT MOVE IN TO A WEINSTEIN PROPERTY. as soon as you sign your lease, the office staff gets way less friendly, especially if you require them to do their jobs. Samantha and Lindsey at Springfield Apartments, specifically. They allow 14 days to get out of your lease, and they've been mentioning that I could move back out every time I have had contact with them about the maintenance issues. They have been trying to convince me to take advantage of that and leave, since I moved in, because I have required that the maintenance get done on my unit, the things that should have been done before I moved in. Now, that the 14 day window is expired, they have decided out of nowhere, without a single substantial event to base it on, to try label my dog as aggressive and force me to muzzle her, or to move out of the property. they are lying about my dog to try to get me out because I am a Local Guide on Google and they are scared of my review. It seems to me that this is RETALIATION HARASSMENT; punish the lady who complained about legitimate problems by punishing her innocent dog. My dog is a happy, humpy, jumpy BABY. The maintenance guys that have come into my apartment haven't seemed to have any issues with my dog. They also have big dogs and are used to them. Also, Chris and Steve and the other guy, who's name I regrettably forget, have been great with getting the maintenance fixed and have not had any problems with my dog. It's just the office staff that I'm having problems with. There was mold in the bathroom when I moved in. The heat and air unit did not work. Window blinds are broken. The bathroom sink was clogged. The bathtub faucet was leaking. The vent/exhaust fan in the bathroom needed to be replaced and is required to run bc their property is susceptible to mold and water damage. They even include a sticky note on the bathroom light switch because the ventilation in the properties is that poor. Flooring rotten and had to torn out and replaced. Now I've got to let a vinyl flooring company in next week to repair the vinyl on the floor where it had to be replaced. The closet doors in my bedroom are hung crooked and so do not shut properly, so my cat gets into my closet. Kitchen cabinet doors are hung crooked, and shelves were missing supports. The paint is peeling off the outside of the property, dropping flakes of litter into my yard. I will continue to update my review throughout my time living here."

"I’ve been with WP for almost 3 years now. Coming from the food industry prior to property management I was used to companies looking at you as just an employee and nothing else. I took the leap and applied as a leasing consultant without prior experience and WP gave me the opportunity to change my career path after loosing my job during COVID. I started as a leasing consultant and with time I was given the tools for my now management position. They offer great benefits such as a rental discount which is essential in this economy. WP has grown so much as a company since I’ve started, I’m looking forward to not only seeing the growth but be apart of the journey. Thank you for the opportunity WP."

"I really LOVE working for Weinstein Properties. They are a family-owned company, and they treat their employees as family. I will say I wish our discount to live on-site was higher. The cost of living has sky-rocketed, and everything is so expensive. It would be nice to have more than 20% off of a home, especially when you decide to live within the WP owned properties. I would also say in addition to discount I think pay could be higher as well. Most of our competitors have commission-based leasing offices (which I do LOVE that WP does not do that) but other companies end up paying more to their employees because of the commission. Insurance plans are really expensive for the highest plan, having to pay over $115 every two weeks as a single person is HARD. WP has also incorporated personal days that can help with mental health days. It's a good start to mental health help however, the process in which to "earn" the days is ridiculous. We should get a mandatory 3 days a year without having to earn them. Overall WP is a great company to work for. I would definitely recommend WP to anyone."

"Worst place to live, EVER. Pictures online don't represent actual property. Theresa was great at the front office, since she left, it's been garbage. Multiple vehicles are broken into. I've only lived here since June and we've been without power multiple times. I've been diagnosed with two separate medical conditions, I've never had problems with my ESA dogs, until now. They've continued to harass me even after providing proper documentation thwas approved by Theresa. Nobody cleans up after their dogs. Maintenance and grounds don't even empty the overflowing bags of dog feces. Multiple tenants have moved out due to poor living conditions and awful management. The carpet in my apartment wasn't properly cut and stretch, tack strips cut your feet, they didn't put padding underneath it in places. I had to clean the entire place upon move in as it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. The lint trap on the dryer was so clogged up it was a fire hazard."

"I was apart of the Bexley Lake Norman fire, there was two within 48 hours on the property. I was apart of the second. For the last four months my life has been in shambles. While other victims were relocated I’ve been forced to stay in a smoke filled apartment. I have a delusional property manager who stated in my review on theirs that they helped. From the moment of the fire I’ve just wanted out of this apartment. They have SEVEN other properties close to mine they could have moved me to. Instead my family moved all of my stuff out that had to be tossed. Then when I could move back in bringing in all the new. My neighbors helped with my clean up of my apartment, never the management. I’ve never been a priority for them which is incredibly evident. After the fire they allowed me to go back into my apartment which resulted in my having a seizure from how bad the smell was. Then they had an ozone machine put in to help the smell. For 26 days I couldn’t be in my apartment. They didn’t honor their leasing agreement which said they wouldn’t charge rent in that time under the fire clause. The property manager told me I would have to sue the person who accidentally started it. I guess they are very pressed for$1,400. All they’ve done is carpet cleaned, spot painted, and fans and ozone machine. As people have moved out of the building they have their carpet replaced. From June until I left a review last week they hadn’t contacted me after when the rest of my apartment will be fixed. There is now a squirrel living in the apartment condemned next door that keeps me all night. I have a tarp roof and I am so scared for hurricane season. This has been the absolute worst nightmare. For my property manager to look my mom who has stage 4 cancer in the face and to say they are doing everything to help when I had insulation in front of my door for MONTHS it’s INSANE. They didn’t vacuum the insulation until I went to reviews but I had emailed them months prior about it. My insurance company deemed my property a total loss. To replace your bed, couch, clothes to go back into your half burned apartment and for all of your new things to now smell. It’s a nightmare. No one deserves to live in an inhabitable apartment that’s called “luxury.” My balcony still has burn and smoke marks all over it. I don’t have gutters when it rains. In front of my door is severe smoke marks showing how badly my apartment was filled. I share an attic with a condemed apartment and a breathing that in. After reading employees accounts on this review thread though I understand why I have been treated less than a human. Absolutely despicable heartless management."
