"When my husband died a year and a half ago me and my daughter needed to get another place quick. I called forest river realty about a apartment I saw on their website that was in my price range. Me and my daughter went to look at it and we wanted the apartment. It was a quick and easy process for us to get the apartment. Even my friends and family was impressed how quick we was able to get into the apartment. Forest river realty is by far the best company I ever rented from. All of their units/ houses is clean and well taken care of. If there is a problem with the apartment they have someone over within a day, not days or weeks like other companies i rented from in the past. Jamie, Karen and Lisa is very understandable, professional and very sweet. I wouldn't go through another company. If I could give them 100 stars I would."

"I highly DO NOT recommend these people; unless you never want to see your security deposit again, and want a lot of extra money sucked out of you as well. They took ours, and want more all for a full replacement of a tub with a small hairline crack. Ridiculous! Also charged a cleaning fee when we had multiple people help clean that place, better than what it was when we moved in in my opinion. They caused a lot of issues for me and my husband. Please find somewhere else in Rockbridge to rent from!"

"This has been by far the worst experience of my life. They have kept my security deposit and are trying to charge me hundreds more to replace an old tub that had a miniscule crack in it. They have caused me and my family so much grief. We were fantastic tenants, almost always paid our rent over a week early, and cleaned the house more thoroughly than when we moved in. They don't care about you, just your money. I'm begging you, STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!"

"I moved to Virginia from Ohio, and had a very hard time finding a place to live in my price range, and trying to find someone who would give me a home on good faith I would find a job when I got here and continue my rent. I ended up renting a lovely 3 bedroom apartment. It is in a nice area with friendly neighbors. The first weekend I stayed in my new apartment was new years weekend. The furnace stopped working that weekend. When I reported it they were courteous on the phone and the repairs were made quickly. They have been very helpful in many other ways since being here also. I am thankful for our home and look forward to a long relationship with this agency."

"Karen Tomlin has the best run real estate company in town. She has managed my properties for years. I would not think of going anywhere else. They really have a tough job but do it professionally and treat people fairly. Karen and her staff really care for and about the properties they manage. They really do the credit checks and work verifications and try to find good quality renters. I have not had one of my properties destroyed by a renter under their watch. On top of that, they resolve issues quickly and are extremely organized. Just stop by their office and you can feel the difference from the others in town. If I ever have a question on a bill or repair (because they are so well organized) they have the photocopies and answers almost immediately. They also have helped me purchase and even sell some properties. Always professional! Always honest!"
