"It was wonderful to find a resonably priced place that would accomodate our family reunion (24 people). Our host was very easy to work with ."

"We stayed here for our youth retreat. This house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room for eating, playing, relaxing, and exploring. The surrounding area was wonderful. Will definitely consider it for future events. Thank you!"

"26 of the same large painting throughout the house and the same 4 smaller ones repeating as well. Also the internet is rather slow. Other than that, pretty good."

"It was a great size for our group, and the gathering rooms gave us space for large and small conversations. It's a great location, easy to find, and close to hiking, tubing, caverns, and the old college stomping grounds. I personally loved the whimsy and mystery of the identical paintings."

"The Alcove is a great place to stay, especially for a large group. For two years now we’ve spent a weekend there to spend time on the Shenandoah with friends and it’s been great every time. Management is very responsive and it has always been clean and ready for us. I definitely recommend it, we’ll be back again!"
