"Stayed at one of the cabins a few weeks ago. Everything was great, Wi-Fi, tv, hot tub. Very peaceful. Great place to get away from everything and just relax. Will definitely be back."

"I couldn’t be happier with my stays at Cabin #1. It’s always clean when I arrive, the records for the record player are fully stocked, there is always laundry detergent in case I need it. It’s far enough away from everyone that it’s a quiet and peaceful experience, yet close enough that it’s less than 20 minutes to stores. The Apple House is a lovely amenity close by - something about waking up on a mountain and sitting outside with coffee and donuts is just magical. The hot tub is always working and in good condition! I recommend going when it’s cooler outside to experience that cool mountain air at night. The owners are so nice and accommodating - they’re super responsive if you have any questions. There’s a lake nearby and a beautiful cliff by the lodging area with a rock wall. It’s perfect for photos! It’s so hard to find a place that’s perfect for people and their dogs. My dog LOVES this cabin and the hiking trails nearby. It’s very easy to enclose him on the deck for some fresh air. There’s a lot of open space inside and the bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom are the perfect size. It’s always stocked with clean dishes and ice in the freezer. There are plenty of cleaning supplies if you need them. A quick trip to the grocery store and you’re set. Very grateful that the owners have such a perfectly located mountain retreat for an escape from real life. You won’t be disappointed!"

"We had a fantastic time. Cabin #5 was clean and everything in working condition. Felt very secluded even with neighbors. You literally ONLY need clothes and food. We also took advantage of Erin the masseuse and she performed better than the best & very costly DC professionals. She is strong and asks exactly what you want focus on. Hot Tub was also a bonus and clean. Small country store a few minutes up the road was very handy and we used it often:) Perfect spot if you have dogs, and snow shovel/salt were handy when needed. Great wi-fi and cell reception never an issue. Only 10 minutes from town. From the start dealing with Tom and Deneane was a breeze, they KNOW what they are doing and handle it professionally. We will be back as we have family in the area to visit. Thanks so much Lawrence and Tina Kilby"

"We stayed at Cabin#1 for a week in late August. The road and driveway to the cabin are easily accessed and the location is convenient. The woods around shades the lovely old cabin so it’s full of privacy and serenity. For the cabin inside, the living area is bright and spacious, kitchen is small but sufficient, but the two rooms are very tight spaces. For the cleanness, I have to say that it’s quite disappointed: tub bottom felt slimy and sandy, window were sills dusty, kitchen utensils, cups and dishes were all greasy and stained. Although it’s the previous user’s fault not to leave the dishes clean after use, but it’s the responsibility of the cabin’s cleaning crew to make sure all next customers have clean kitchen utensils to use! Also, the cooking pots were all very cheap and thin. The nonstick coating burned out choking odor of plastic even when heated at medium heat! Most of all, we had got big carpenter ants crawling everywhere on the floor, even on our beds when we were sleeping (good thing they didn’t bite!) every night! If not because of all the unpacking and sanitizing we had done upon checking in so we didn’t want to go thru all the troubles, we would have requested to move out. I have already told the owners about the problems I noticed. They are quite responsive and told me they have scheduled a meeting with their cleaning crew to go over all my concerns. They have also contacted their local exterminating company about the ants. Hope they get everything improved thus make future customers’ stays better."

"We stayed at #4. Overall, it's a great place. 4 bedrooms, and a sofabed make it easy for 10 people to stay, at once. It's secluded, for privacy, and close to a number of outdoor recreational activities. We're definitely planning a winter stay."
