"We loved our recent stay in this quaint cabin located in the Rainbow Campgrounds. It was quiet and peaceful in a beautiful setting next to a trout fishing stream. We stayed there so that we could bike the Virginia Creeper Trail (which we did and loved) but the cabin has a whole list of other hiking and places to explore. We also went up to the big lake Laurel Bed Lake which is a fifteen minute lovely drive from the cabin. During the summer I am sure that both the lake and streams are great for swimming. The stream has absolutely beatufil little waterfalls. The cabin had all the necessary amenities and I lovely front porch and outdoor fire pit. Definitely recommend!!"

"Family run campground. Nice and quiet. Even though they have a few long term people. Free wifi is offered but the signal is weak. We had no cell service either. But it is the mountains."

"Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes… including you. - Anne Lamott We had such a wonderful time this past week, testing out this theory. We can’t say enough about Rainbow Campground! We rented a camper there and upon arrival, we knew it was such a precious place. From horseshoe tournaments with the locals, bluegrass music in the evenings, waving neighbors, pristine cleanliness, and owners Kevin and Christie’s sweet spirt, we fell in love with this little piece of Appalachian heaven. Nothing is missed or not thought about in the camper and campground. The scenery is spectacular and God’s handiwork and people are evident here. Trout fishing, kayaking, and hiking, all in one amazing little mountain. We have already booked again! (And the strawberry jam … divine!)"

"We came up for a weekend away and enjoyed our stay. The campground is well kept and quiet. The locals are welcoming and make you feel like family. Our children enjoyed the story telling and Mountain Music. The camp ground offers easy access to trout fishing and the lake."
