Hangry Joe's Lynchburg Hot Chicken

"Good. I wasn't blown away with the dish, but I appreciated the "Korean" taste and the crispiness of the chicken. Small portion for pretty high price. I guess it's worth trying out for yourself though. Pickle was extra. The person that helped me with my order seemed like he was the manager or the owner's husband and he seemed nice. Atmosphere of this place reminds of what you would expect from a typical chicken wing locations with large bold font words on the wall and decor about their menu and whatnot. Not too eye-catching but entertaining, nonetheless."

"My wife and I both got the regular chicken sando and overall it’s a solid chicken sandwich. Great portion for satisfying hunger without feeling too full. I got hot and she got hangry and the gap between the two is huge. The hot is maybe a step or two above Chick-fil-A’s spicy deluxe. The hangry is proper hot The two star knock is about small details that add up to a bad experience. We didn’t want combos so we ordered two sandos and a side of fries (only one size available) and when our trays arrived there was maybe 9 potato wedges, not what I would think for a separate side. My bun was cold. The ranch side we paid $1 for was your standard small to-go cup and it was half full. That said, we’re coming back for wings so we’re not writing them off but I’m expecting these small details to be sorted out"

"The food was actually excellent here!! When the food came out, me and my wife dug and and stuffed our faces and it was AMAZING at first!! But as we continued to eat, I noticed I started feeling a little uneasy and off. Also the food got cold quickly and didn’t quite hit like how it did when it first came out! My wife’s fries came out cold and had a strand of hair in her waffles. They kindly replaced her waffles with ease but I noticed the waffles were fried! They were AMAZING at first but it was all the oil the waffles absorbed while getting fried that made me feel a little nauseous. The bone in chicken was bangin’ and everything else was spot on, but just slightly disappointed. May give another try in the future cuz I see the potential being super high! I honestly want to give this place another try again in the future!!"

"To be fair, they have only been open for a few days. I was told. So a packed Friday night was like a feeling of cattle, packed in, slightly confused, but hopeful. There are two kiosks just inside the door to order your meal and one register past that taking orders. This causes a serious traffic jam at the doors, both waiting to order and people standing around waiting to receive their order. The staff is super nice and done pretty well in the chaos. The seating is decent yet a little strange on the setup. The chicken is pretty good. Not what some of the hype men would have you believe, but it's good. I had chicken and waffles and my friend the chicken finger meal. Both were tasty, and the waffle fries were good. Everything was cooked well and tasty. The hot seasoning was not that hot, though I do like spicy food, so it may be to others. The size of the chicken pieces were on par with other chicken joints, nothing wow but good size. They do have a sando, and if you have never had one, I say try it. I do think you should not have to pay an extra three dollars for a drink on top of the meal cost. All in all, it was not bad, but it did not stand out. But like I said, opening was a few days ago, and I hope things will start to smooth out as they go. Check them out and see what ya think."

"Tried to order Angry Hot waffles and chicken, plus tenders. Got home with a wrap and nuggets. Called and the staff was super helpful and did offer to make the order right the next visit. Can’t wait to get spicy and get Hangry Angry Hot sauce dance moves on!"
