Rosendale Inn

"Really a wonderful rustic and historic country inn. Quirky but authentic rooms. Paul was a great host. definitely not a cookie cutter inn so don't expect generic "hotel" accomodations.... lots of twists and turns. awesome floorboards and period furnishings. very nice breakfast."

"This is the perfect place to have a nice time to rest and breath fresh air!!!! You can to go to the Endless Caverns because it's really near to the hotel. Everything is perfectly clean and ordered. The bed clothes and the towels are clean everyday. You can take a really good breakfast and then you can go to walk and see the place. The staff is really friendly!"

"My wife and I spent a weekend there from 28 - 30 September. I had called Paul (the owner) about checking in at 9:00PM and he said that was fine. The check-in was fast and easy. The next morning my wife and I toured Paul's library and his small museum before breakfast. The house has many antiques from the period of the cabin house (first structure) which was built between 1790 to 1800. Paul has quite a collection of books to include the ones he has authored. He is very knowledgeable about President Woodrow Wilson and his extended family. Paul is currently writing a book on President Wilson. If you are in to history, Paul is a wealth of knowledge. All of the rooms are large with their own full size bathroom and closet. All of the rooms have excellent views of the farm and mountains to the east. It is next to the Endless Caverns Park, and there is hardly any noise. There is no traffic noise, and you can hear the creek flowing in front of the house. All in all, the house is gorgeous, and we definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone who wants a quiet and relaxing place to unwind. The B&B is about 20 miles from Harrisonburg, VA, and there are craft breweries, and wineries nearby."

"Excellent location, surrounded by fresh fields and mountains with easy access to Shenandoah park and Harrisonburg. Rooms were very clean and had great character maintaining it's historic feel. Paul was a great host, who has great stories to share as well as good knowledge of the surrounding area to give advice and recommendations on what to see and do. Breakfast was lovely with plenty to keep you going for a good number of hours. I would definitely recommend staying here."

"My friend and I stayed here a few weeks ago during our Shenandoah Valley tour. It is a wonderful, charming place in a beautiful setting. The host, Mr Murphy, was fascinating to talk to and told us much about the old place. The breakfast was a gourmet treat! The room we had was large and comfortable.
