"We had a great holiday week at River. Escape! It was spacious enough for 7 people and a dog both inside and out. And we enjoyed the modern decor. We loved using the hot tub, fire pit, the large kitchen table, and the games and puzzles provided. There were slight issues like the water level being low in the hot tub and feeling like it needed to be changed, as well as puzzle pieces missing from the puzzle we did, but these were fine in the grand scheme of things for us. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, and all the appliances worked. If you are not tech savvy and want to use the kitchen, this might not be the house for you since the microwave, oven, and stove are pretty nonstandard. They provided an instruction manual though, and we were able to figure everything out. Also, there is a very big and docile dog that comes by every so often, so if your dog won't react well to that, be aware. Also note, the living room is all glass and there are no blinds, so that really affects the temperature (hot while the sun is up, very cold once the sun sets during November). I enjoyed the sun but some in our group were too hot or couldn't see, so just letting you know. Finally, while you can't stream over wifi there, we all had good phone service with two different providers, so you can always do that if you need. We would definitely go back to River Escape Cabin! Thanks for a great stay!"

"Heating is not adequate. Batteries were dead or almost dead in all remotes, including heater remotes. Not isolated and private and no curtains or blinds in the living room so the sun blinds you all day and you're very exposed at night. Kitchen is amazing and the hot tub gets warm enough to make it usable even in -30 weather. Road to cabin has washed out in several spots so 4-wheel drive is best. My Sentra rubbed in places due to large potholes."
