"This campground has been by far the best place I have ever parked my camper. Kendra and Alan have be the best owners I have meet in my five years of traveling. I can't say enough great things about them and their beautiful campground...I recommend to anyone in the front royal, VA area to come and stay here"

"We stayed at this campground in Nov. It is located down in a sort of raven, but right on a fork of the Shenandoah River. Friendly staff and easy check in. (We had reservations which we paid a deposit at reservation time and paid the remainder upon arrival.) The RV sites are not on the river. Those are tent sites and they are very large! RV sites are fairly close together, but in Nov it was pretty empty. Bathrooms were clean. Each room had a toilet, sink and shower. NOT HEATED! brrrr!! Water was hot, thank goodness. Don't rely on your GPS. Ours tried to take us a really back way. Just take US-340 and turn onto state Rte 613. Not too many choices in the area for RV camping, especially if the state park is full. This one was good."

"My family and I spent 2 nights at this campground and I was very disappointed on the owners attitude and the way we were spoken to. On the first night we had music playing around 8:30pm which I didn’t think was a problem because quiet time starts at 10PM. We didn’t mind turning the music down I just didn’t appreciate the owners approach, mind you we got there at 6pm so we had only been there for 2 hours when she came and said “I’m not going to do this with you guys tonight, this is the last time I am going to warn you and if I have to come back is going to be to tell you guys to leave” she spoke to us as if we had already been warned or if this was a ongoing thing. I just said okay because I didn’t want to ruin the trip for us. But to my surprise on the second night my family and I went to bed at 9PM and were kept up by loud music, dogs barking, cars honking, and people laughing until 2 AM which we didn’t mind because that’s what people go camping for to have a good time. I just find it discriminatory and I will say racist that making noise is only an issue when it was coming from us."

"Great destination for scenic camping and river adventures. Waterfront camping spots abound, and even if you don't stay in one, many others have a river view and all are within walking distance of river access. Porta potties are dispersed throughout, and the campground office has six conventional bathrooms with showers. These conventional bathrooms are in high demand, so expect to wait a few minutes to use them. Also, music is allowed, which means you will be hearing your neighbor’s favorite music. Most neighbors are considerate, but if yours aren't, let the camp staff know. We had a great experience and plan to return."

"Thank you Alan, Kendra, and Korinne for helping me with booking my stay, giving me advice, and offering me a ride into town when I was in a pinch. Your kindness and generosity will not be forgotten! I hope to return someday (in a car) to enjoy the tubing. Your location by the river is so beautiful. I was glad to have river access, even though I was in an overflow site. Thanks again for a great camping experience."
