"Do not recommend. Hair stylists are supposed to be trained on hair care and hair health. It’s clear they only care about the finished product. As a result, they damaged my fine curly hair. You do not apply the same heat settings to everyone’s hair because everyone’s hair is different and some require less heat to straighten. From the outside, my hair looked good and they definitely got it straight (too straight if you ask me). But upon reverting, there was very clear damage from the excessive and unnecessary amount of heat they use. Save yourself the time and hair!"

"I didn't have an appointment. I went in for only a dry cut. This is what I asked for. When I sat in the chair, she told me that the reason my hair is so thin is that I have highlighted it (thanks for the review but I didn't ask why my hair is thin). My hair is thin because it's always been thin. I feel like the number one rule of hairdressing should be "don't insult your customers". Then she asks me if I usually blow dry my hair. I answered that I use a round brush to blow it dry. She proceeds to blow dry my already dry hair--pulling it straighter. Then she takes out a curling iron and curls it. This is all without a wash which I didn't want. When I got up to the counter, she asks another lady in Spanish "how much?". The lady said said in Spanish "$30". Then she revises it and says "$40". They charged me $40 for a cut. They will up the price regardless of what you get. I speak Spanish and they will talk around you thinking you don't understand. I liked the cut alright, but I will NEVER go there again."

"My hair is natural I get a blow out, flat iron and wrap. The blow dryers are Super Hot & can burn your ear. But my blowouts are always looking healthy. My only issue is that they never tell you how much your style will cost it’s based on hair texture, length and whether you’re natural. So I’m charged a different price each time."

"I did not have an appt, but I was in the shampoo chair in less than a minute after walking in! At the start, we discussed what I wanted done & she gave me the price & asked if that was ok. I liked that. I thoroughly enjoyed the shampoo washing! She was very thorough! I wish I could remember her name, I want to say Susie or Amy, but I will get it the next time. My hair is curly/wooly, but once she was done blowing it out, you would not know that! She gave me a nice style. My ONLY complaint was she kept burning my scalp while blow drying! OUCH!! She had to keep adjusting my head, because I was slinking down into the chair lol.. The next time I am going to sit under the dryer FIRST! But I will probably go back. No hidden or added on ridiculous fees!! Way to go Dominicans, my Northern Kingdom family!!"

"I will never go back. My hair was already washed and deep conditioned. I still had the deep conditioner in my hair so I asked them to rinse it out & blow dry my hair. I was burned several times during blow dry. I told her it was painful and she did not lower the temperature. I asked her to stop. She charged me $35. How is a simple rinse & blow dry $35. This salon is overpriced & unprofessional. My normal salon is the other Martha's on Hull Street Road. A full wash, blow dry, & straighten is $45 & they never burn me!!"
