"I reached out to Penelope for a consultation inquiring about locs. She said it was going to be $50 and that would go towards my service. I said ok. After meeting with her and going over some options I decided to get starter locs. She requested that I send $125 to set the appointment and that would also go towards the service. We set the appointment for the 22nd. I reached out to Penelope today(12th) due to an emergency and having to cancel my appointment. She said “all deposits are non refundable and that I took up a time slot for someone else also the $50 is a consultation fee” ok cool I’m not requesting the $50 I’m requesting my $125 back. I feel like that is unprofessional and not fair due to the fact that it is not stated on her website nor did she inform me that it will be non refundable from the jump. I called her and texted her and have not gotten another response. So basically she got paid $175 for a service that I’m no longer getting due to an emergency due to a rule that she just made up"
