"Great, friendly, helpful staff. Wide selection of merchandise. I was really impressed with the range of inclusive sizes. Many women’s items were available in sizes XS through 3X and several 4X. As a plus sized woman I’m well aware of how difficult it is to find outdoor gear. This store didn’t just have a token plus sized item, but really provided a wide variety of items. Many stores note that they carry plus sized, but don’t stick those sizes; you have to go to the website and order. This store is stocking inclusive sizes in different styles & colors."
"Tons of backpacks, lots of sleeping bag and pad options, a lot of food and cooking utility, quite a bit of shoe and boot sales, biking hiking climbing and camping needs all over the store full of things I don't even think about when browsing online. Plenty people around the store willing to help, check up on you, answer questions from backpack sizing to fitting boots correctly. I spent almost 2 hours is the store and aside from a small Co-op/tent section and a little smaller inventory than I'm used to from out west, this is a great store with plenty of necessities."
"I cannot say enough positive things about the Richmond REI team. Over two separate weekends I visited to prep for a Scouting trip to Philmont. The staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and patient. They helped with some complex ordering and returns to ensure we got the packs we needed and wanted. So worth the drive from an hour away!!"

Finally the associated that checked me out updated the phone number on my membership. 10/10 excellent service."
"The stores great the location not so sure yet. Nested in a cluster of other shops the area can get busy. REI has all the items needed for the outdoor life. I picked up a battery pack for my off road travels. A much needed addition for my power hungry devices."
