"Very unsatisfied with our shopping experience yesterday. I will preface this by saying I was shopping with my elderly grandmother who gets worried. The clothes were beautiful. The first woman (Debbie) took an armload of clothing to the dressing room. We never heard from her again. When we got our second armload of clothing, an older black woman helped us put that in the same fitting room. When it came time to try clothes on, Debbie was no where to be found. I ran back and forth to get sizes for my grandmother. When it came time to check out, two women worked together to try to get it worked out. When I asked to run the card as credit as opposed to debit they looked befuddled. I explained the situation (that my grandmother is 81 and cannot remember her pin and wants to run it as credit) they didn't get any less confused. They tried for over A HALF AN HOUR to swipe her card and press various buttons. At one point I said stop, just let me use my card, that I know the pin number for. At this point, my credit card would not work either. They swiped my card so many times that a fraud lock was placed on it. For a $400 sale I would up having to write a check. When the next customer tried to check out -- same issue. Come to find out, it was a problem with their system that wound up messing up all of our cards. These women didn't apologize, didn't act embarrassed. Instead, when the left, they giggled and said gee, you probably never want to come back. Now, we have to go to my grandmothers bank because yes, you guessed it, fraud alert on that too due to their ignorance of their own system.. Thanks for nothing Talbots."
