Amici's at Village Market

"First time we've been there, were excited to try & really looking forward to it. Really nice looking place. Read a recent review about poor customer service & chalked it up to maybe bc the place is new willing to give it a fair shot of our own. Nope. It's actually the terrible customer service. Walked in with my family, zero acknowledgement. It's a tiny place with a few tables so we knew we'd probably need to wait a few, so sat down on the bench to wait politely. Again, still zero acknowledgement. This went on for quite a long while both the waitress & bartender walked past us numerous times, even making eye contact (not in a friendly way, no smile, no nothing) so they knew we were there, as they both continued to ignore us like we didn't exist. So, I even got up & approached the bar to ASK about wait time & such, & was still looked at & ignored by both of them. Not one word spoken to us at any point. While standing there I also heard one of them hang up the phone she was on (assuming with another customer?) & say out loud, "B!tch"... Wow, my young son also sitting present. That was enough customer service for us & we immediately exited. I couldn't tell you if the food was good or not bc the service ruined it before we could even try."

"My wife and I stopped in for the first time. The restaurant is very small and cozy, but has a nice atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. We ordered the fried breadsticks as an appetizer, which were very good. For our entrees, I had the penne ala vodka and my wife had the fettuccine Alfredo. Both were very good and served in large portions. We look forward to going back."

"Ok, first things first, the food was very good, staff and service not so much. We walked in, and first impression was it was tiny. But no problem, we saw two empty tables. We stood there for probably five minutes without being acknowledged. I mean there was eye contact, so the staff knew we were standing there, but never even got a “we’ll be right with you”… nothing. Finally we were approached and told we would have to wait. I pointed out an empty table, was apologized to, and were then seated. We ordered an app while deciding on our entrees and then ordered lasagna for me and a personal pizza for my wife. The appetizer was outstanding, porkbelly and polenta. My lasagna came out but no pizza. It took a full 15 minutes for the pizza. I picked at my food and finally told our less than enthusiastic waitress to just box the pizza and the rest if my lasagna. Now I don’t need my server to act like waiting on us is the highlight of their day, but don’t like to feel like we are unbearable burdens either. Chalk it up to everyone has a bad day. They did take the pizza off our bill. Lastly, if you sit on the right side of the restaurant, you get a great view of a cook with his pants hanging off his butt. Not a good look for someone preparing food."

"This is a brand new location that has some growing to do. This location’s food was good, but we likely won’t go back. We had to constantly remind our server about forgotten items in our order. Likewise, the portions were not very large considering the price after 20% tip, which was $148! We are very simple people, but the price is not proportional to the quality of food or service received. We will not be returning to this location, and we will stick to the Main Street location."
