"Better than most Safeways, maybe because most of the staff came from the Shopper's that used to be here. Greater selection than most Safeway stores also. No Safeway gets five stars because of the ridiculously complex pricing. This one has much more caring, capable staff than the fancy one at Pan Am Center."
"I often shop at this store and will definitely warn shoppers about expired food. My wife purchased sausages there and they were stinky when I tried to cook them. I went back to the trash and realize that they were use or freeze by June 6 when they were on the shelves on June 16. It took a while to get a refund because I didn't feel it was safe bringing a package of opened and raw meat to the store. I went back to check the shelves and realize they still had sausages use or freeze by June 6 and we were now June 19. This was not the first instances but the worst."
"Safeway often has low quality items at premium prices. I have visited stores in Canada and the USA and this is pretty evident. In this store, you can see in pictures that a bakery item is located on the shelves that is reduced in price. However, one can notice that this is an opened item as it doesn't have all the 14 pieces. Food items returned by customers shall not be sold."
"My closest grocery store. Expensive if you don't use a membership card or the app. Get the app to get extra discounts you can actually use. They replaced Shoppers, which we really liked. They kept many of the people who are nice and helpful. They offer a very nice deli, lots of prepared foods for parties, and a good bakery. They offer a lot of dried and fresh produce. The freshness and selection of meat and produce is good, though they don't have much fresh seafood. They have fewer quality store brand items than Costco or Shoppers that we buy. They encourage self checkout, and you may have to use it as they often have few checkout clerks available. I find that to be a pain because I can never get out of the self checkout without an employee helping me once or twice. It takes me much longer, especially if I have a fair number of items. Parking is convenient and plentiful, though some of the spots close in need repair. The carts are good and the wrangler keeps them in good order."
"It's improving every day. Pharmacy is back. Produce looks good with enough variety. Bakery doesn't have much at this point. No hot food."
