The staff is fantastic: creating a warm and welcoming environment for the children and parents. "We had an amazing co-op experience in the 3's and 4's class with our now kindergartener. She thrived at WLCN and graduated reading, writing, and feeling so excited and confident for kindergarten. Being new to MD, we are especially grateful for the wonderful connections and friendships we've made thanks to the co-op experience. Our 2yo is now enjoying the 2's class and we are very pleased with her progress. The play based philosophy has provided the perfect mix of socializing/playing independently and structure for learning. The school is well maintained, the tuition is affordable, and the environment is welcoming."

"Love this preschool! We knew we wanted to send our daughter to preschool/pre-k without having to spend a ton of money on an all-day school/daycare program so I was initially attracted to how inexpensive it is. We were new to co-op pre-schools and if you have never been involved in one, it’s definitely something special! You will get to know each and every student in your child’s class (and their families too); it really is a community feel that can’t be matched in a regular preschool. We loved the 3s class so much we came back for the 4s (Pre-K). I will miss our WLCN family when she moves on to Kindergarten next year! :("

"WLCN has been a great fit for our family and a great learning experience for our son who is in the 2s class. This was the first school experience for our son, yet he adapted well from the beginning and now looks forward to his school days! The teachers and parents are warm and caring, creating a nurturing and play-based environment in the classroom. The co-op experience enables parents to see teachers and their children in action in the classroom. The teachers use a wide variety of indoor and outdoor toys, plus weekly art activities. The school is located in a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood with two playgrounds - one enclosed for the school and a larger, public playground where we often go after class."
