Lake Elkhorn Playground is a beautiful institution located in Columbia, Maryland, United States. Lake Elkhorn is a 37-acre lake built in 1974 with a watershed of about 2,500 acres. The average depth of the lake is eight feet, reaching 15 feet at its deepest point. Visitors can also explore nearby Wilde Lake and Lake Kittamaqundi, each offering unique features and recreational opportunities.

"Beautiful and bigger than you'd think"
"Nice shaded play ground with two sizes of play area and swings. Surrounded by tall trees. I took my kids to play here for years and sat on the wooden benches and watched them. It's relaxing and enjoyable to watch kids having fun here. The lake path is great. My kids are mostly now too old for this place but I still come to walk the two miles round the lake."
"Wonderful lake view with a great place for kids to play. There are slides and swings (for the kids and the babies). And an amazing, calm, and relaxing seating area for the adults. Parking is available and accessible. It is a cool destination, whether on the weekdays or the weekends. Close to mcdonald's for a meal with a view of the lake and the greenery."
"Out getting family steps in looking for errant bird. Saw plenty except the target one today. Great place for fitness and comraderie with safe social distancing.."
