Z Burger & Maman Joon Kabob

"Their food is tasty. Their hamburger is tasty but I would get a double burger instead of single for the enough portion. Their koobideh with rice tastes delicious. However, if you would like to eat healthier I would suggest replacing rice with salad which has less fat. Their kashk-o-bademjan was ok but I would suggest to add more qurut. In general they have a good amount of fat in their rice and kashk-o-bademjan , I would suggest giving people the option to make it less buttery/oily."

"Z Burger & Maman Joon are relatively new to the Olney area. Taking over the building previously used by a Taco place and before that Jerry's Sub. We have visited twice, each time sampling from the Z Burger side of the kitchen. The food was delicious. Burgers included a sesame bun. The chicken sandwich was moist. Steak and cheese was awesome. And ample servings of fries, reminiscent of Five Guys. Plenty of free toppings. Service was excellent. The only negative thing is very limited parking. We circled the building several times and saw others doing the same looking for a place to park. This was mid-afternoon even. Probably worse at noon or dinner time. Nevertheless, we look forward to returning to try their Persian food offerings."

"Fast Casual joint venture that took over the former Jerry’s pizza location inn Olney- I tried Mama Joon because word was it is amazing. The staff was so helpful and kind and I could not be more grateful for that! Kebab is staple for a reason. Delicious every time. I loved the falafel. I felt the hummus was flavorless, but great consistency/ texture. The Baklava bites were recommended to me by the one of the staff at the register, and she was spot on with her suggestion! Delicious and perfect little nuggets so you can share or enjoy progressively (or eat them all at once, any way is too delicious ☺️). Overall, I recommend! There is a more personified feel when it comes to the staff and service team even though MJ is a franchise. Seating is equivalent to that of any other fast food venue. Seat-yourself-anywhere booths."

"Cam here tonight for the first time. Food was fabulous! We ordered the combo #3 which was filet and chicken. I’ve eaten a lot of kabobs but I’ve never and I mean NEVER had meat so tender it practically melts in your mouth. My husband got the chicken kabob. Both come with options for either rice or salad. Combo #3 was actually more than enough for two people. Highly recommend this place!"

"We came here recently to try out Z Burger, and will try Maman Joon at a later time. I ordered the double cheeseburger with a sauce and an order of 1/2 fries and 1/2 onion rings. The cheeseburger was ok, a bit greasy for my liking and couldn’t taste the z sauce on the burger so I dipped in a separate container. The fries were ok, a bit overdone in my opinion. The onion rings were way too greasy, there were pools of grease on the serving tray under the onion rings. I would also say that the breading of the onion ring actually tasted a bit sweet to me which I didn’t care for overall. The staff were very nice and the atmosphere was very clean. Probably would not go back for Z burger but hoping Maman Joon is better."
