Kid's Play Place

"Playground itself is 4 stars but it is designed for young children and it is almost always overcrowded with older kids running and roughhousing with no (active) parental supervision and no monitoring by the mall itself. I understand if they are older sibling of toddlers/preschoolers but they should be told to look out for little kids and let them enjoy the climbers first. On more than one occasion I’ve had a child tell me their parent was shopping and they were there alone. We try to go at off hours but lord help you if it’s raining."

"Spacious, clean and age-appropriate. It has various themes and it seems fun. HOWEVER, these things turn pointless when there are children WAY OLDER jumping and stomping around. This play area clearly seemed to be designed for the younger little ones and the older - pre teens taking over the whole area makes it unsafe and a hazard. Wish parents (glued on their phones) and security staff were more conscious about this."

"I am really upset with our visit. This playground is clearly for ages 1-4 judging by the set up and equipment, and we went specifically for my 1 year old to crawl around. There were about 6 children, all around 6-8, rough housing, throwing each other around, playing tag and being maniacs in this baby play area. I put my baby on the ground to crawl around and he was loving it, but almost got trampled 3-4 times because the other large children were not even paying attention, and no parent was telling them to be aware of other children. In fact no parent was paying attention at all. So we had to leave, my baby was screaming because he loved it so much and we couldn't stay because these other large children were playing in a baby playground. The rules say you must be under 42" to play so there was no reason for them to be there. Columbia mall, you need to do better. These kids have other areas to rough house in the mall."

"Super fun and clean - staff sanitizes the whole area regularly each day. Ample and comfortable seating for adults, when the kids play. Free indoor fun while shopping or during rainy or extreme weather days."

"Can get crowded but there's lots for younger kids to do: slides, climbing, running, motor skills activities, etc. The floor is padded pretty well to keep risk of injuries to a minimum. There are shoe cubbies if you want to use them and a large amount of fairly comfortable seating areas / padded benches for the adults. Usually pretty clean. They do close I think between 2 and 3pm daily to clean it. Obviously, however, kids will need to wash hands well after playing here."
