"During my travels I’ve stayed here multiple times. Located just off the highway. Very easy to find. Rooms are spacious and always clean. The rates are amazing for a great hotel. Ash at the front desk is always very friendly professional, helpful, and accommodating. He has directed me to many restaurants, bars, and interesting places to visit. If I forgot any personal items he is always eager to help me locate them locally. I would very highly recommend the Super 8 to anyone traveling through Plattsburgh."

"My friend stayed here last night 12/10, checked in, no issues. A few hours into her night, she got a call from the service desk to the phone in her room, asking if everything was good in her room. Her thinking they were just being nice, make sure everything was to her liking, she didn't think much of it. Until she got 2 more calls, for the same thing, so she thought something was wrong with her card. At 3 AM SHE GOT ANOTHER CALL from the customer service desk asking if he could pay for her room and he would bring cash to her right now. She was freaked out and declined, to which the customer service rep said he was lonely, as if she wasn't freaked out enough, that was the final straw. She felt wildly uncomfortable and left at 3AM. She is waiting to get her money back, but apparently has to go through corporate. She also filed a police report due to the nature of this occurrence and the possibility that whoever that person was doing it that works there, might do it to someone else and becoming an even worse situation. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I booked a room. However, when I go into the place there is nobody at check in. When I first arrived I thought it was weird that there was nobody parked at the motel. It looked completely deserted. The music I heard when I first went in to check in was so creepy I got goosebumps. I booked another hotel immediately. Upon doing research I discovered that a young boy 8 years old passed away at the pool. The case went to court and it is just so sad to see. I recommend to save your money and go to another location."

"This was the worst place I have ever stayed. We stayed here when my Dad was having surgery in Burlington. It was in disrepair. The ice machine doesn’t work. The first morning we were the first people at the morning breakfast. There was 1 package of oatmeal. Six small muffins and a waffle machine that was not cleaned from the day before. The coffee was watered down and not drinkable. There was juices and dry cereals. The tables were all dirty from the previous day. We had to go out for breakfast. We returned to our room at 5:30 pm and our room was never made up. No new towels were brought in. The second day the coffee was good, the breakfast room was clean, and breakfast was stocked. I’m not sure why it was not done the day before. Lots of garbage visible out our window."

"The good: We like it's in a good location that's close to restaurants, highways, stores, ice cream shops, gas stations, lake & park. Breakfast Room opens from 6 am to 9 am with self serve coffee, tea, milk, cereal, mini muffins, oatmeal, make your own toast & waffles. It's quiet at night that's good for a restful sleep. The bad: The key cards didn't work 75% of the time which got old after a few times. The place shows its age. Don't use the bathtub metal handle! It's an accident waiting to happen if someone were to use it to get up from the bathtub. The indoor swimming pool looks very enticing but it has weird open hours. We didn't see anyone using it the entire 7 days. It's a non-smoking facility but the guy who works the desk smells like an ashtray."
