Holiday Inn Express Plattsburgh

"I've stayed at this hotel with my family several times over the past few years. Each time there's either been something wrong with the room, broken at the facility, or incomplete services that has made the stay frustrating. We joke about what will happen next time we stay because there's "no way something won't go wrong." The first time we stayed nearly all of the breakfast items were out of stock and several breakfast machines, including their juice dispenser and waffle machine were broken. The employee just shrugged their shoulders and complained to the guests about their shipment being late. If the hotel wasn't less than a half-mile away from no less than 5 grocery stores where they could at least get milk I'd maybe agree... The second time our room was skipped every day for room service. When we complained to the front desk they didn't have an answer for us as to why this occurred. No solutions were given and no attempts to rectify the situation were made. The third time we stayed the room we stayed in was skipped again for room service (again with no explanation) and several breakfast machines were broken again, as well as our floors ice machine. This hotel is cheap, and we stay because of membership points earned at better locations in this hotel chain. I can't recommend this specific location for the above reasons. The entire facility feels like it's being managed by staff that don't care, and it shows in the customer service. The only positives of the stay were the more updated looks of the rooms, but that is a corporate decision."

"Nicely renovated, good location, clean room, bathroom is tiny. The morning guy had a hard time keeping up refilling breakfast items and very limited seating. The pool area needs some decor like palms/plants to make it more inviting. Also towels!"

"Nice, clean, comfortable, somewhat quiet (except a few chat in the hallway and slamming doors). Bed was very comfortable and sheets were clean. I’d give it a five star if it wasn’t a bit pricey."

"Negative: started with wrong room (reservation for 2 beds), dirty bathroom floor so I crossed cleaning staff (they were super friendly and cleaned it up right away), pool is small, bathroom size of a closet, mold in the shower, shower leaks on the floor, water damage to the ceiling, at 8:20am there wasn’t much left to eat (breakfast), not enough areas to sit for breakfast, the tv hovers but if you move it the device will unplug (short wires) and no soap left in shower dispenser. Positive: location, service was pretty great especially the cleaning staff, beds are really comfortable, gym is nice, coffee near the front desk is always full and delicious, ac works great and water presser was good too."

"My husband and I frequent holiday inn express hotels whenever we travel. Typically this hotel branch is our favorite. However, this stay was less than enjoyable for us. So many issues. Beginning with the service at the front desk. Two kids checked us in and we’re very immature. Not professional at all . The housekeepers didn’t even attempt to make our beds. The pool was freezing and filthy—- Supposed to be heated, but was far from it. Not enjoyable at all- The bathtub had someone’s hair in it, not ours. I wouldn’t come back to this hotel even if it’s free."
