Reviews
"Swim Open is top notch. I really can not say enough good things about it. My swimming skills are basic, and need a lot of work. Swim Open welcomed me at my level whole heartedly and made me feel like I belonged, even though my level is novice in comparison. I usually use a lot of flotation devices when I swim, I no longer have to use them thanks to only a handful of lessons. I probably will never do a triathalon.... I just wanted to try out the style as ive always seen open swimmers over the years in various lakes, rivers and seas and deeply admired their fearlessness in being out in the elements. I tried Swim Open's one on one teaching set up and received priceless instruction and made solid progress that I can continue to practice with on my own for years to come. I'm sure the group classes are probably pretty great too. Once I feel like I've internalized all I've learned in my privates I will probably return for group training at some point much later down the line. The West Reservoir centre is a perfect place to learn, not too big, not too small and clean, friendly and comfortable, a real gem in north london. I love the staff, the locker rooms are great, the cafe is very cute and worth sitting outside of, having a coffee post swim. Open swimming is really so much more inspiring than public pool swimming. Kat and Tom are very organized and scheduling my lessons was sooooooooooooo easy. But all in all the most important thing: They helped me face some major swimming fears head on, and I am hooked for life with open swimming and I have Swim Open to profusely thank! I will always be very grateful. book your classes, i can guarantee you wont regret it."
"So glad I signed up! Kat and Tom have been amazing in breaking down my technique and helping me to complete my first Ironman. Out with the old (bad) habits and in with the new. Who knew that swimming, when done properly, could be so effortless. Whether you're looking to get into open water swimming or you're already pretty proficient but want to take your swimming to the next level, i'd definitely recommend meeting the team to see how they can help. Thanks guys!"
"I took lessons with Tom to improve my open water technique and to gain a competitive advantage for the upcoming Triathlon season. The lessons were really beneficial and my swim times have greatly improved. I highly recommend Swim Open"
"Stoke Newington is such a beautiful teaching location, excellent instruction, professional, friendly and sincere interest in helping everyone to improve their swimming regardless of their ability. Highly Recommended!"
"I took 1-2-1 lessons with Kat, she’s such a greater teacher. The whole experience with Swim Open was really enjoyable and above all thanks to Kat’s patient and clear instruction I’ve been able to massively improve my OW swimming technique."
