"Will and Dee gave me a full tour since the recent renovations and I’m gobsmacked by the stunning bar & Japanese bloom style dining area! I will certainly be returning for this experience again what a gem and to many more here! - James"
"Lovely room. Clean and the bed was so comfortable I slept really well. It was so cold during the recent cold snap that they put additional heaters in our rooms prior to arriving. Staff were welcoming and very helpful and considerate. It was definitely value for money and I'd definitely recommend."
"Excellent Sunday lunch, made all the more special by the excellent cocktails and high quality wines. Staff are committed to making the dining experience too rate too! We will be back to savour more delights."
"If I could give it zero stars I would. We were a walk in on a Sunday and appreciate they had a big function on in the back but they had run out of everything! We asked for chips, no chips. We then ordered some bread and butter and Arancini balls which were delicious so we asked if we could have some more bread and butter and were told that the kitchen was too busy to heat up some Bread! We did manage to get a bowl of roast potatoes (4 in total and again delicious) but when we asked for more were told they had all run out! Such a shame as the food we did get was great but best to say you can’t do any food rather than putting out menus and then saying you haven’t got anything! Plus for 2 lots of bread and 2 lots of arancini balls (starters) and 2 rounds of 4 drinks it’s was £90!!"
"Cosy, clean room, massive, firm bed. Staff pleasant, night porter very helpful, the manager Jason is making positive changes for the future. Good food and service at the restaurant next door. Pricy though. Excellent knicker bocker glory!! It was our second short stay here - birthday and anniversary - and we'll be back next time we have something to celebrate. View of forest and fields, no concrete in sight! We'll definitely recommend this hotel to mates."
