"Reasonably close to amenities. Very reasonably priced for London - it’s ok! It’s basic and maybe good value for money. I stayed 2 nights in Jan 2023 and was unfortunate enough to be in a room with thin walls. Flushing of loos, shower noise along with vibrations from passing lorries and odd noises though out the night were initially a distraction. But it’s amazing what you can sleep through once you stop paying attention to it. So if you are a light sleeper than check for all of above. The room was clean however and everything worked. So ideally three and half stars but there are no halves in marking."
"The manager of the hotel, the lady with the black hair and fillers in her face is very rude. Once they noticed I was putting complaints to them they moved me out of my room to another room claiming it was protocol. I went downstairs and asked the receptionist who told me it was a mistake because the manager is not doing her job properly. Horrible customer service. Since they noticed I was the one reporting them now they are treating me disrespectfully to make me appear to be the issue when all I have ever been with them was polite.Jean Pierre is a rude receptionist the only person that has been kind to me is the cook."
"Worst experience ever, I would never advise absolutely anyone to book travel lodge especially the woolwich branch The staff are absolutely disgusting, they have no manners, spoke to customers disrespectfully. Keep paid customers waiting periods of hours, their excuse was that the house keepers are coming late. If you look on their site, you can't get your room cleaned all throughout your stay, not even your sheets changed, only toilet roll and change of towel if you ask"
"generally good position and nice room, but some of the things were not right managed. A lot of stuff was missing from the rooms (hair dryer, wc brush, wall sockets near the bed). The shower curtain was too short and at the bottom there was a gap of 10 cm so there was water on the floor everytime I showered. At breakfast each day were missing some of the products like eggs, bananas or pooridge, plus the orange juice was not always 100% like it was claimed (mixed with water....)"
"Having been moved last minute from the a different hotel due to ‘emergency maintenance’ I arrived late at night. The area itself is less than inviting. I arrived to reception where a man was shouting about a gas leak and that we were all going to die, being told to wait his turn by the receptionist. I booked in where said receptionist broadcast my room number very loudly to the gentleman causing a very large scene. This made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. I have arrived at my room which was very unclean with blood stains x2 on the floor - large patches, one with what appeared to be debris ?skin still intact. Due to this being midnight and the scary man at reception I did not leave and instead went to sleep having travelled for many hours. In the morning I alerted the new receptionist of my concerns to be told I should have said last night, but that I would receive an email with compensation. This has never happened. I also later found out the ‘emergency maintenance’ was a planned carpet change which wasn’t well received. I don’t really have any positives to say about this hotel and shall not be returning"
