"Perfect location, about 1 minute from closest tube station, on the central line, about 15 minutes into central London. Hotel clean comfortable and warm. Food delicious and plentiful, no reason to go hungry. Several fast food outlets within walking distance if you prefer. Perfect cost effective base for travellers wanting to see London."

"Excellent for using the Central Line as 100yards from tube station. Despite being next to a busy road, really, really quiet. Rooms clean and more than adequate. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast really good too!"

"Due to weekend the charges were very high I understand but to be honest it was not worth it. I stayed in the super room which was very small not what I expected and the bathroom was tiny. I didn't like the diluted hand wash and body wash at all. You need to work on your housekeeping as well, which didn't replace anything despite putting the tag outside the room before 10am. Very average"

"I'll start by saying the staff and service is great but that's it. My room was right near the doors to the elevators and it was so noisy from people coming and going. The windows are awful. Absolutely no soundproofing at all. Constant screeching of trains and works going on outside. There were a bunch of us staying here and most the rooms had a damp smell. Carpets weren't clean and some of the bathrooms stunk too. The smell in the stairs is absolutely vile. The smell of urine is so strong. Would never stay here again and would recommend going elsewhere. There are much better Travelodges."

"Staff are brilliant but seem to be doing more than one job. Michelle especially and the guy with the French accent were great. It wasn't clear that the rooms weren't automatically cleaned or topped up. Didn't realise we had to put the sign out b4 11am but when we did it still wasn't done. Reception sorted it. Couldn't star service. Reception 5 stars but rooms 0"
