“I had a kids birthday party to arrange food for on short notice and Krishna Food stepped up with confidence and lots of options to facilitate my large gathering. Helping to take a great deal of pressure off for the party arrangements. The vegan options also ensured I was covering bases of any dietary requirements. The food was top quality and absolutely delicious, particularly the vegan sausage rolls! The staff were such beautiful people to deal with and efficient/punctual with delivery. “Came here on a cold Saturday and it was just what we needed. A variety of fabulous takes on Mac n Cheese. The base mac was balanced and creamy and the fried chicken and other flavourings were so delicious. The owner was so lovely and so keen to interract with her customers. This is not your regular mac n cheese and deserves to be hyped. Definately coming back for more!”

“Friendly staff and great food in a really comfy feeling room. The cannery breakfast has to be one of the best big breakfasts in all of Aotearoa, served with great Turkish bread. Strangely no payWave or ApplePay, just old school EFTPOS inserted or swiped. And possibly cash, whatever that is.”

“Mele was absolutely fantastic. She saw me pushing my wheelchair with my bag on it, using my crutches, and offered to set me and bring a menu to the table. From there she took my order and payment, making life a lot easier for me. Mele was friendly and polite throughout. What a fantastic asset to the company she is! The food was good too. I ordered the buttermilk coated chicken burger. Was tasty and what you expect from a burger joint. Pricewise, it is priced like all other options at the airport - high than normal and if you weren't at the airport you wouldn't consider paying those prices. From service alone and how quickly the food arrived (8 minutes or so), I was really happy.”

“A great cafe in the heart of Plimmerton, with a cool atmosphere and exceptional customer service. The staff are always so lovely and the baristas make delicious coffee (love that they offer lots of alternative milks). Would definitely recommend, especially after a nice walk on the beach!”

“Had great experience here. Busy as tonight, 2 for 1 pizza on Tuesdays and 2 for 1 pasta dishes on Wednesdays. Staff were onto it and friendly. Delicious pizza and the polenta chips were worth a try. Yummy! Warm friendly cosy vibe. Our server (dude with a beard, sorry didnt catch your name!) was very personable and made us feel most welcome and at ease. Will be going back.”

“Great restaurant if you're after a vegan menu. Terrific selection of entrees, mains and pizzas all meat and dairy free. The cashew mozzarella cheese is really good, as are the pizzas made with sour dough bases. Good selection of drinks in the menu too.”

“An extremely clean restaurant in the heart of Wellington serving high-quality vegetarian/vegan food. They offer two varities of buffet: vegetarian and vegan. Found the restaurant to have a nice ambiance with a large seating area. They are a self-service restaurant and although there were a la carte options, buffet seemed to be the one to go for. It appeared to be one of the more popular restaurants in the area during lunch time on weekdays. Highly recommend a visit to this restaurant if you are in Wellington and if hygienic vegetarian/vegan cuisine appeals to your palate.”

“We had a really beautiful lunch at the Japanese restaurant upstairs here. The food was beautifully presented and the flavours were exquisite - and super fresh! The menu has a good range and the staff were very friendly. The set meals are quite generous. Go hungry or share, which is what we did. 5 stars.”

“Visited at a fairly busy time but still was able to score a table for 2. We ordered The Fiend and the smashed avocado. Both meals were amazing well portioned and coffee was great (strong how I like it). The atmosphere was buzzing and staff were very helpful. Our meals came out within 10mins surprising considering the amount of customers at the time. Will most definitely be returning.”

“I come here now and then for coffee and snacks, but this morning I had Holly's eggs, which was pretty much eggs Benedict. I had the smoked salmon option with the potato rosties. This was so yummy! Service was so good, very friendly and chatty, which made a great start to the day with positive vibes.”

“We have looked at going here for a meal for ages and never gotten round to it. Boy have we been missing out. Parking was our biggest problem as George Street is a popular dining destination. As soon as you walk down the street and see the entrance festooned with fairy lights you know you are going to be in for a good time. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. They have a great selection of drinks and why wouldn't you have a margaritas? Table service was excellent and the chicken starter we had was devine followed by incredible mains. My pulled pork queasadilla was delicious - there is an option for chicken or beef too. The only disappointment we had was the desert, are church's meant to be crispy?”

“I love this place so much! It's the kind of place where you absolutely know you are always going to get great service and amazing food. We went to try the Burger Wellington offerings, and unlike most other places, it was amazing for my non vegan partner and my vegan self to feel like we were both having the same experience, as there are matching burgers. I would absolutely recommend this place for a great meal out and even more so if you have a fur baby, as they have a whole extra menu, just for them!”

“Among the most comprehensive menus I've ever encountered at an Indian restaurant, including Manchurian Chicken, & a few items I'd never even seen before! They also had an impressive drinks menu for a restaurant, including a good selection of Craft, Imported & Domestic beers, not to mention wine & spirits. The wife & I had Onion Bhaji as entree, followed by Lamb Korma with Cheese & Garlic Naan (& of course rice). All were delicious, & the serving sizes were generous. The heat rating system however, was a little different to what I'm accustomed. Mild, Med, Hot, Kiwi Hot, & Indian Hot, where I'm used to seeing around 8-12 heat levels. I ordered the 'Hot' to play it safe, but personally found it to be quite mild, so if you like it hot, you'd best look to at least the Kiwi Hot or Indian Hot. (To be fair, as I was taken a little off-guard by this system, I didn't think to ask if they offered varying levels of Indian Hot, so probably my own fault.) The service was great. I attended with a party of 14, arriving only half hour before they were planning to close kitchen, yet they were very accommodating & patient. Both drinks & food were served promptly & with a smile. We ran out of rice, but they were happy to bring us more as required. Overall, highly recommended. If you visit Windy Welli & enjoy Punjabi food, look no further, this place is for you. Unfortunately, as I was with a large group I didn't take any photos of the food, so took some of the restaurant interior as we were all leaving.”

“Having not had time to eat all day, I was looking for a place which food I would be sure to enjoy I searched online for such place located downtown, found this Mexican restaurant, and immediately decided to travel to it Good move! The place features very typical images on the walls. Having traveled and stayed in Mexico for 5 months, I was brought right there Music is really nice Lots of seats Very friendly and efficient staff And food is a fusion, bringing the best of both worlds They have different types of snacks & sides, tacos, quesadillas, and even desserts, and plenty of drinks to choose from, tequilas, magraritas, mezcal, liquors... I personally went for a "fried jackfruit con cola" taco, a "slow braised ancho & agave lamb shoulder" quesadilla, and a "pan fried broccoli florets" side (my favorite) As a drink, as I don't drink alcohol, I went for pineapple + strawberry soda And "cinnamon spiced churros" as a dessert I really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, the staff, and the location Oh, and they also have margarita workshops for groups of people who want to learn how to make them Highly recommended, "me encantó"!”

“Went on a Thursday night to celebrate a birthday. Had all you can eat tacos and BYO. Staff were awesome. Tacos were yummy and well seasoned enjoyed our night here. Shout out for the awesome dance moves. Guy in cool green hat a star.”

“First time here, birria was delicious , and monster nachos were value for money..we didn't realise just how monster they would be, ended up going home with so much leftovers. Could definitely feed a group of 4 at least.The pizza was not so good though, quite dry and not worth the price. The only other downfall is not enough lighting outside , was a struggle to see my food . Other than that, everything else was amazing.”
