“My partner and I had a fantastic dinner at Egmont Street Eatery. The service was beyond amazing and the food was excellent. Did I mention the staff was extremely kind and knowledgeable of the menu too? Two hours of dining experience flew by so quickly, and that’s a testament on how well they paced the food coming to our table. We will definitely be back!”

“A cosy, comfortable cafe you can bring your friends, family or partners to. There are lights, seat pillows and a couple of blankets for a nice romantic or cosy breakfast/lunch/dinner, sitting amongst heaters. There is even a ping pong table where you can play. The food and coffee was delicious. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommend”

“Lovely little cafe inside the library. Lots of dietary options for vegetarians and vegans. Could expand the menu a little bit more to provide plant based variations on standard menu items. Place is warm, there are a lot of tables, and you can browse the magazines in the library while you wait. Wifi supplied by the council is very slow so can’t recommend it as a place to work until they fix the internet set up.”

“Arrived for a late brunch and were not sure what to eat so ordered two spinach omelet with spring onions and fresh tomatoes. The omelets were large, spicy, very cheesy as in delightful with quality melted tasty cheese. The price at $14 each was great value for money and friendly professional service. I would definitely recommend Cafe Soleil.”

“Great ice-cream Cafe, the raspberry and chocolate sorbet was decadent and the staff were very nice and courteous. Since the ice-cream Cafe is German themed I was hoping that they served spaghetti eis, but I hope this is something that could be done in future.”

“This is a masterclass on how to run a cafe! The interior is super cool with expansive seating available. We didn’t have any issues getting a table & felt instantly welcome when we were greeted. The staff exude professionalism and absolutely carve up their role in the machine. It was really impressive. Coffee was 10/10, perfectly balanced and made with care. I had the mushrooms which was a generous serving, succulent & a taste sensation. They sat on a piece of grainy bread with a poached egg on top. As a big cafe head, I was stoked to visit Prefab & highly recommend it to those looking for a great meal out.”

“First time being here and the line was out the door, staff were incredibly friendly and asked if we were having our meal to go, as there was an hour’s wait for eating in. 20 minutes later we got our order and it was well worth the wait. Staff are friendly, atmosphere is inviting and it is well worth it. Highly recommend the Ginger Pancakes and the Cheeseburger. Amazing work team!”

“Very beautiful presentation of High Tea. Fresh bakes scones, pastries, savory sandwiches, all were delicious. The decor of the cafe is very nice and inviting. Antique tea cups with small dessert spoons were very cute to be served. I think this place is popular. Might be! I have made a reservation to have a High Tea ceremony and while we were there all tables were reserved. I definitely recommend this place to anyone! Its a great spot for birthday celebration, night out, weekend brunch, friends meet-up, you name it. Service was outstanding! Lots of tea to choose from! Impressed !”

“Went to SVK for brunch today, catching up with friends & their 6month old. The staff had a high chair ready & were accommodating with heating his food while we had the tough job of deciding what to order. Coffee came out & was good, followed by our food which looked amazing, was very tasty & large portions. My friends also grabbed sweets to take away. It was constantly busy but the service was good, a great experience overall on the long weekend.”

“Absolutely loved this place, I've come here with my toddler aged son a few times and they are always accommodating. I ordered off the breakfast menu both times while he got the kids pizza. The breakfast items I had were delicious and well balanced, his pizza was great, the cheese tasted high quality for a kids pizza and the coffee was well made too. Plus there were cute dogs out back. That always helps.”

“I love stopping into 86 on my way to work. The people there are always friendly, the bright, clean decor is upbeat, the coffee is reliably good every time, and the cheese scones are the best in the area! In the cabinet there are always a few GF and vegan options. There's often a queue between 8 and 9.30 so allow yourself 10 minutes.”

“Came here on Easter morning while we were visiting Wellington. It was packed and there was a line out the door but it was worth the wait. Our crew sought this place out in search of their iconic filter coffee flights and they did not disappoint!! We loved how they also included an informational card with each cup to learn about the type, tasting notes, etc…The food was also delicious. We got the pork belly Benedict and mushrooms on toast. Highly recommend The Hanger!”

“It's exactly what you'd expect from a chocolate cafe, chocolate, and hot drinks. Extremely well done. The chocolate is very balanced and nice as well as the drinks. The aesthetic is casual diner/luxury, gold, spruce, and black. Nice place for chocolate lovers, great spot.”
