Oceanview Diner

"Had a great breakfast with two of my friends after one of them (OVResident) recommended the restaurant. The service, food, and staff were all great!! Nothing stood out on its own food wise, but everything was cooked perfectly, was hot, tasted good, and the portion size a good smount. (Big Combo w/grilled Banana Bread, Steak snd Eggs Special, and Country Fried Steak & Eggs). Not the restaurants fault but be warned the parking is tight."

"And they call this place a diner! I'm so glad I found this place online. I loved the atmosphere inside, it's small and cozy and quiet. The service was great and the food was a delightful surprise. Everything there is house-made, from the appetizers to desert, and it all was delicious. I had the salmon, my friend had the steak, and we were both wonderfully surprised. I don't even normally get dessert, but I had to try the house-made coconut cream pie. Excellent. Really, whoever is in that kitchen has some talent! The food is too gourmet for this establishment to be called a diner, and I can't wait to come back!"

"What an absolute gem of a place. Went here for breakfast with my family. Particularly enamoured with the wonderful service: friendly, kind, polite, attentive to all of our group’s needs (and I have to be honest, there were some thanks to the kids!), I particularly loved the quiet attentiveness as the servers just check on the table each time they passed (as well as directly asking us if we needed anything on a couple of occasions) rather than falling into the trap of either extreme: ignoring us or constantly asking us. A perfect balance struck, and they even went so far as to generously give me a fresh coffee for the road. The food was also delicious across the board, cooked exactly as we’d asked and really good quality, with a lovely homely diner feel, an ideal place for breakfast. With no complaints or reservations whatsoever we really hope to return as soon as possible - I wish to follow the advice on the specials board to try the breakfast beans for a start!!! All in all, I wish I could give more than 5 stars as this spot really deserves that and more."

"Amazing food! We went on a Saturday, and the place was busy. There were quite a few people ahead of us but the line moved quickly. We tried their country fried steak, house potatoes, pancakes, fried green tomatoes and corned beef hash. I have been craving corn beef hash for a bit and this place delivered!!! Their pancakes are to die for! I don’t think I have had better pancakes any where else. Give their fried green tomatoes a must try as well!"

"I'm so glad I found this place on Google! I was looking for a place that served fried fish with eggs and grits for breakfast and this is the only place that I was able to find! I love trying local diners and was thoroughly impressed with this one! It was nice and clean, comforting, and the staff that greeted me was friendly! I ordered the flounder special with eggs, cheese grits, and rye toast. The food was amazing and that fish was very well seasoned!! I believe that the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food you receive!! I can't wait to come back and dine here again! Great service!!"
